Spring Drop off sa daycare via stroller:
She waves 👋 sa cars/buses passing by.
She gives input sa directions.
She learns Green is Go, Red is stop. 🚥
She enjoys extra snack on her stroller.
No early morning rush. When she wakes up, she’ll look right away for me and John. When she doesn’t see John, she’ll say, “Where’s daddy? Work?” And I’ll just nod. She kinda understands our routine and need for work. We say quick, simple prayer. Then, we start by brushing her own teeth. At her age, i’m proud na Minimal assist lang si mommy with morning care like 🧴 lotion, changing diaper, changing her clothes and puting her footwear. Also, she actually knows when she needs help and knows how to ask for it. Then will thank us for actually helping her out. (Yep. We practice it, and she learns exactly by just observing us.)
At daycare room drop off, she will look at me with sparkling eyes yelling, “bye mommy! See you later!” And she really waits for me to go. Made an entry for this because I realized I enjoy the opportunity of dropping her off with no car needed plus we both have time to notice and apppreciate our surroundings. Thank You, Lord! 💕
I hardly have the time to actually drop her off sa daycare because of my work shifts especially nights, plus during winter time, it really is John’s routine to drop her off before he works. (thanks Daddy John!). But recently, John schedule had been adjusted for a few days. Mama Arma is at her vacation (which we love for her to do more often!) ; we do not want to always ask for extra extra favor kay Tita Joy (we are always thankful for her time with Jaidey — as parents we do not want to heavily rely comfortably with others.)
So that moment, we’re grateful for good weather, good stroller, good quality time. ☺️ Indeed, when your usual routine needs a change or adjustment, it’s because you have to see something new and better. Something that will make you appreciate little things.
My final takeaway with new routines.
Every bit of challenging situation, every adjustment is an invitation to be more grateful for something new. Look into it. And enjoy 😉 That’s why I do appreciate all the No and Not yet. It shapes us to persevere and endure a little bit more. Until you are more than ready for the ‘yes’ season — a yes without a burden (to you and your family) because it’s already a reward of your disciplined waiting season.
