After 12 years of capturing memories ranging from engagements, weddings, maternity portraits, birth documentations, newborns, babies, families, parties and even some commercial work, I have decided to retire from Joyful Emotion Photography.
It has been an absolute honor working with so many wonderful families and helping them capture some pretty special moments in their lives. I know these photographs will only increase in value for my families as time passes. That feels like a great contribution on top of all that I have learned and the creativity I have enjoyed.
Thank you for choosing me for such a special job. I chose this gig so that I could stay home with my kids. The kiddos are now in school full-time and it's time to move on to new challenges and experiences (and more financial security lol!).
Thank you all for your support over the years. Becoming a photographer was a proud time in my life and I will always remember this time and some of my experiences with great joy!
Some of you have asked why I don't just do it on the side. I'm an essentialist at heart and like to put my full energy and focus on one thing at a time. Running a dayhome was never in my 5-year plan but it has really become something I quickly realized i am awesome at (ha!), I've found ways to feel creative in this new role and I also feel like it's a great contribution that feels truly important in terms of the value it adds to my kiddos and their families. That feels good:) www.instagram.com/joyfuldayhome
The photography websites are still up as i'm not quite ready to remove some of my favourite moments 🙁 babies: www.joyfulemotion.com family: https://joyfulemotion.wixsite.com/yegfamilyphotog and weddings: https://www.joyfulemotionweddings.com/
