I love taking on unique projects like Jovy and Keegan’s wedding at her family farm in Athabasca. It’s even more special when another artist reaches out with an idea of their own.

Jovy is a very talented painter, and I’m thankful she trusted me to photograph such a personal celebration in a place that means so much to her and her family.

As I walked the property with her mother, she mentioned this phrase to me: “Her dad took care of the fields, but the backyard was mine.” And what a backyard! So many flowers, colours and beautiful little corners that became the perfect backdrop for their photos.

We spent a beautiful summer afternoon and evening with their friends and family, live music, a delicious mix of Filipino and Polish food, and plenty of doggos running around and being part of everything.

A very special day in a place that means so much to them.

Viva gli sposi! 🥂

There’s just something about Italian weddings. The energy is always incredible, with everyone in the best mood to celebrate, enjoy amazing food and drinks, and spend a beautiful evening with the people they love. Today was no exception.

Every detail came together beautifully in one of my favorite places in the city, the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald. No matter how many times I visit, I always seem to notice a new corner or find a different spot that inspires me to create something unique.

It was an amazing evening surrounded by wonderful people who traveled from California and other parts of the country to celebrate Justin and love.

Just because colour deserved a really good spot on this feed as snow continues to appear in Edmonton.

Looking forward to not seeing it in a while, a great start of my wedding season tomorrow and travelling to a well deserved vacation with my family soon.
