Brad Studier Photography

Brad Studier Photography Growing up in Southern Ontario, the idea of exploring the Canadian Rockies was a larger than life dream.

In 2005, I moved to Alberta to finally pursue my dream and explore the Rockies vast wilderness. During my youth, I would carry around a camera hoping to spot a moose, a bear or even the sunset on our family trips to Algonquin Park. From those simple photos, my photography journey has evolved into what you see today. Being surrounded by nature, I am reminded of the peaceful beauty that is around me

and I look for adventures wherever I go. By capturing the rare moments, I hope to inspire others to leave the beaten track and dive into the woods. Hopefully I inspire others to learn the importance of protecting our natural world and the wildlife that we share with it.

Caution Sensitive Viewing

A few weeks ago I had a very crazy wild experience in Elk Island National Park. Driving the Parkway I noticed a single coyote jogging across a pond. I was able to drive ahead of them as they round behind a small clump of trees. I was hoping to spot them on the other side.

I slowed down the truck looking for them, yet I noticed two other coyotes chewing on something as the first coyote watched. I parked my truck and proceed to watch as these two coyotes continued to chew and pull this object around. My first thought was it was small moose calf as it was dark brown. After watch for several minutes I saw the big beaver tail flap about as the coyotes pulled it around. Over the next 30 minutes I stayed parked on the road watching these two coyotes enjoy a very big meal. This is the first time I've witness something like this. Yes wildlife can be very disturbing, also creates moments of wonder and ahw.

Bright and Early - winter sunrises come at a decent time during the winter yet patience is required to wait out for the right moment. It always interests me watching people arrive and leave during those sunrises, as they usually miss the most beautiful time when that sun hits the clouds just right. This morning required probably 2 hours from pre dawn to full sunrise. Love every minute!
