My next (and slightly tardy) photo dump from the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo 2026. Friday usually kicks off with POW - the Parade of Wonders but because it was so damn cold, they called it off and instead had the "parade" on the steps of the BMO Centre. Fun was still had, just not as much as if there had been a REAL parade. Afterwards, I wandered the halls and found a cosplayer or two. Or two hundred...

Well that's a wrap babies! Day four is done and so is the Calgary Expo 2026. Today I probably shot more than 300 photos and probably have a total of just under a thousand to sift through in the next little while. I'll start posting in a couple of weeks or so, maybe sooner. I want to thank all the great cosplayers who very kindly posed for me and made this year a ton of fun.

It's the third day of the Calgary Expo. Got to see my friend Cheryl (yay!), Elijah Wood, Shatner, a whole bunch of cosplay folks and some knights bashing away at each other. It was very cool. This is just a very small taste of what's to come in the next couple of weeks. Drop back, you won't be disappointed.

Today was the first day of the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo. I walked around till my feet were tired and my back was sore. Still got some pictures of some amazing cosplayers. This is just a sample, much more to follow later. 📸

Okay, who doesn;t love fireworks? Well a lot of pet owners I guess but most of the rest of us think they're pretty cool. One Canada Day in 2018, I found myself in an apartment building pretty high up when the fireworks started. It was pretty cool to see them almost at eye level. As I was shooting, my autofocus couldn't keep up and I was a little cheesed off until I saw the results. Turns out I almost like the out-of-focus results as much as the sharp ones. There's an abstract beauty to those random colours and patterns that makes me very happy. Hope you like 'em too.

There are days when I'm walking along and things like mushrooms leap (metaphorically) out at me and I have no choice but to shoot them. To be fair, it's not always mushrooms but it is in this case. I love getting down there to ground level because you get a completely unique perspective that we rarely explore.
