A few weeks ago I had the chance to photograph at Gala. It was a beautiful event featuring wonderful performers and 4 amazing designers. I am still going through and editing the fashion show photos, but in the meantime I wanted to share some shots that I got of and performing their art. They were absolutely incredible.

I am MOMENTS away from finishing this painting. So close I can practically hear the varnish pouring onto the canvas. Just a few small details, tiny things that no one will even notice...

But I notice. And I have been noticing as this painting has been resting untouched for the past 2 months.

Life has been a lot lately. Crazy on a whole new level. While I'm still not entirely out of the woods of being a full time stay at home mom, I have taken on a few new projects. And by projects I mean
1. joining my sister .gallery on a new business venture aka which has taken off way quicker than I could have hoped for.
2. Falling in love with photography...well I have always loved it but I finally decided to take it to the next level...and
3. Opening a photography studio with ..don't ask me what is going through my mind but I think the excitement of finally having some free time after being a stay at home mom for 8 years has trampled all common sense, and logic and fear and to be honest I am SO happy and excited about it.

The one downside, I have no more time for painting, and when I do have time I have no energy....but it's ok! I am not worried because today I finally painted and I know that my love for it is still very much there....

I never thought I would fall in love with black and white. Color is such a big part of my art, my paintings, my world.
But here I am, completely obssessed.
Something about it just feels right...
