April, in photos.
Opened the doors to my home studio for the first time.
Captured a dozen motherhood sessions (still not over these 🤍), along with four newborn sessions.
Shot a child acting headshot session.
Second shot for my bestie at The Doctor’s House.
And ended the month with the sweetest engagement session.

May is already filling up with a handful of family sessions, engagement sessions, and a wedding - and I can feel the pace picking up in the best way!

This one feels a little special ✨ Last weekend I opened my home studio for the first time, just in time for Mother’s Day. Soft, natural light, simple textures, and space to just be together. Exactly how I want this next chapter to feel 🤍

If I wasn’t a photographer, I honestly think I’d be in retail merchandising. I’ve always been so drawn to beautiful shop displays. The kind that makes you stop in your tracks. So when Julia asked if I’d help create a sign for her shop, I immediately said yes.

We started with a rough mockup that I sketched out, then worked through the details together, size, font, placement, refining it until it felt just right. From there, I cut it out of plywood with a jigsaw and hand-painted the whole thing.
Something about working with my hands like this, bringing an idea from paper to a finished piece, just hits differently. Might need to do more of this. What do you think?

A few more from Kelsey’s maternity session, shot in their newly renovated bathroom - colourful, playful, very her. Easily one of my favourite sessions. We went full flash and just leaned into it. I suggested her daughter put stickers on her belly and she was totally game. It turned into the sweetest, most fun little moment 🍓

What was supposed to be a full family session turned into a morning with her sister and nieces and honestly it couldn’t have been more perfect. Two sisters and their girls dancing in the living room, little hands pulling them into play, the kind of moments you can’t plan, only notice. This is my favourite kind of session nothing forced, just following the kids’ lead and letting it unfold ✨

March, in photos.
Started the month with a maternity session on March 1, and rounded it out with another beautiful maternity session yesterday at Soal Project.
Captured headshots for a few amazing individuals and branding for The River Healing Centre.
Volunteered my time for Erin’s International Women’s Day at Centre 2000.
Installed a gallery wall at Tin Roof in honor of IWD, featuring the incredible women I’ve photographed.
Saw images published in COCOLILY for Rachel’s Cocoa Cortado article - so proud of her!
Photographed sisters with their daughters, plus a newborn session for first-time parents.

Can’t wait for what April has in store. It’s already filling up with motherhood sessions, lots of newborn photos, and engagement sessions!
