As a wedding photographer who’s seen it all and also planned my own wedding, here's the best way to get started. 👇

1️⃣ Decide your guest count first — no guessing. It makes budgeting, venue choices, and catering decisions so much easier.

2️⃣ Lock in your venue + date — once that’s set, everything else can fall into place.

3️⃣ Book your top-priority vendors first — especially vendors who can only take on one wedding at a time such as your photographer or videographer.

4️⃣ Draft a rough timeline — decide on a first look and consider the time of sunset for your wedding date as these factors will effect your ceremony and dinner start times.

5️⃣ Consider a wedding coordinator — hire someone to handle logistics and the many big and small tasks of the day so you and your loved ones can truly be present on your special day.

📸This year was so wonderful for my business.

I worked with the most amazing clients - many of which became friends or were friends to begin with.

I got to create so much magic and witness so much love. I also felt very inspired and pushed myself creatively.

Working with you all was a dream and I am so excited to see what 2026 has in store for me.

Also, a big congratulations to all of the newly engaged couples! I suspect many more special engagements will take place tonight. 💍🥰

This is your sign to elope on a Tuesday afternoon and hire me to capture it. 🥰

While awaiting a first look for one of my weddings at Willistead a few weeks ago, I saw a couple approaching me.

I soon recognized a familiar face in Jade as we went to highschool together many years ago. (14 to be exact but who's counting 🫠)

Anyway, she introduced me to her fiance Mitchell and after a bit of catching up asks me if I'm available Tuesday afternoon (3 days from then) and I was so happy to say YES I am.

She said good because we are getting married Tuesday and want you to capture it. 🤣

I love how life works in mysterious ways and sometimes just being in the right place at the right time.

They happened to be touring Willistead while I was shooting there and so our paths crossed perfectly. It was totally meant to be.

It was a wonderful afternoon photographing their love for each other. 💗

The love story of Amanda + Chad✨️

Full of so much joy and emotion.

Tears filling the room while Amanda's Mom spoke beautiful words both on her behalf and her late husband's. Everyone felt his presence.

It was one of those days that I won't soon forget. It was magical and special and epic.

Amanda is a dream bride and the joy she radiated was palpable.

Documenting this day from start to finish with full creative reign was a dream with these two and their loved ones. 🥂

Evin + Blake alongside their family and friends were a joy to work with.

Guests travelled from far and wide. Austrailia, England, and Banff to name a few.

Suzanne + Xander tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on Saturday followed by an epic reception with their closest family and friends at Willistead. They sure knew how to throw a party!

Their energy and love for each other was wonderful to witness and they were down to be creative and have fun.
