☀️ Important Reminders

We are expecting a hot weekend, so please come prepared with plenty of water for yourself and there are taps for horse (or yourself). We also strongly encourage everyone to pack their own lunches and drinks, as there will be no food vendor on site this weekend. (If this changes, we will let you know.)

Please plan accordingly to stay, hydrated, and comfortable throughout the day.

We're also incredibly grateful to the Windsor Spitfires for supporting our club and recognizing the importance of community involvement. Hockey has long been a cornerstone of Windsor-Essex, bringing people together and creating unforgettable memories for local families. Much like our horse community, it thrives because of passionate people who step up and get involved.

🎉🐴 COMMUNITY FEEDBACK HEARD — JUMPER ROUNDS ARE COMING TO THE SOTC ENGLISH SERIES! 🐴🎉

We’ve been listening to the local English riding community, and one message came through loud and clear:

✨ You want jumpers! ✨

As part of our commitment to building a welcoming, inclusive, and community-driven English series, we are excited to announce that **Jumper Rounds have been added to our June 7th show schedule!**

🏇 umper Format:
• Timed Speed Course
• Table C Scoring
• 4 seconds added for each fault

Our goal with this series has always been to create local opportunities for riders to get in the ring, gain experience, have fun, and enjoy a positive show environment. Adding jumper classes is one more way we can make this series accessible to more riders and horses in our community.

📋 Important Reminder for Competitors:
All riders will be required to complete a liability waiver on the day of the show and provide proof of valid equine sport insurance during check-in.

If your week is busy and you need the lowdown before WLTN practice and TVR Sunday race, we got you… 👇
* Gates Open: This Friday at 4:00 PM. 🚚
* Sign-In Requirement: All riders AND spectators must sign in electronically. Do it at the gate or at the kiosk inside the shop. 💻
* Camping Fees: $35 a night. ⛺
* Admission: $10/person
* Practice Fees: Stickers are $40 per rider, per class. 🏍️
* Track Rules: Keep it safe and keep it respectful out there. The season is just getting started, so let’s kick it off right! 🤝

Our first show is officially a week away!

Please take a minute to read the following information if you plan on attending the May 29th, 30th, and 31st show.

For the weekend we will be having Sunset Flavours as our food truck for Saturday and Sunday. There will be no food truck for our Friday Night Jackpot, however town is less than 10 minutes away with plenty of options.

We are lucky to have HM Photography as our photographer for the weekend!

Since this is our first show, membership or non-member forms MUST be filled out before competing on the grounds. If you plan on competing Friday Night, plan on filling out a membership or non-member form in addition to signing up. Proof of insurance is MANDATORY. We must be provided with a printed copy OR sent a digital copy to our Facebook Messenger before you may ride on the grounds.

Riders cannot begin accumulating points until their membership is paid, filled out, and accompanied by their proof of insurance. Riders can not qualify for year-end awards without being a member (yes, dust bunnies included).

As always, Turn N Burn appeal (e.g. t-shirt, tank top, hoodie, coat) can be worn in lieu of a show shirt.

If a rider is 18 years of age and younger it is mandatory for them to wear a helmet in the show pen at all times (this includes warm up, exhibitions, and all events, including fun events).

Camping for the weekend is welcome!

🚨 VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED — THIS SUNDAY & FOR THE 2026 SHOW SEASON 🚨

Our first show of the season is coming up this Sunday, and while we’ve had a few people reach out to help, we still do not have enough volunteers to properly run the day. While we do have some board members who can help, many of our board would also like to join in the fun and show this season!

SOTC horse shows simply cannot happen without volunteer support.

We are currently looking for help with:

✔ Entries
✔ Tractor Driver (back-up) (paid position)
✔ Ring Steward – Classics (paid position)
✔ Gates (2)
✔ Announcer (paid position)
✔ Grounds / Set-Up Crew (2)

These roles are essential to keeping our shows safe, organized, and running on schedule for riders, families, and spectators.

🐴 We are also continuing to build our volunteer list for the FULL 2026 season.

These opportunities are great for:
🎓 High school students needing volunteer hours
🐴 Horse people wanting to get involved
👨‍👩‍👧 Parents wanting to support the club and community

⚠️ IMPORTANT: ALL volunteers MUST complete the volunteer application form.
We will NOT accept volunteers who have not filled out the form.
