Gord, you are a polarizing man with the greatest of intentions. To watch as this Innovation conference has evolved and found itself over the past few years has been nothing short of amazing. While most sit behind their keyboards and cry about change, you get out there and make your visions become a reality. Furthermore, you do so with actual progress in mind and nothing but equality in your heart. Keep up the amazing work!
This year, the addition of the arts took the conference to a new level by broadening its scope of what it means to innovate in rural communities. A conference that was mildly entertaining to a creative like me, was suddenly making perfect sense; it was speaking my language.
Pairing this shift with a new format of delivery, with the breakout sessions, was a stroke of genius. Not only did you get to attend the event, but you now were able to choose from 3 different "breakout sessions" taught by experts in their respective field. This offer of choice ensured everyone was kept engaged and left with something of value.
None of this hard work can be accomplished without the team behind the scenes, so Gord doesn't get all of the creditš
Also, how cool is it that I got to listen to Zita Cobb speak and photograph her!
If you are not in these pics or not tagged, there are many more pics of the event and I simply grabbed a few I liked. Feel free to tag the people you do see!
