THIS FALL, I’M GOING BACK TO A VERY SPECIAL LITTLE PLACE.

Years ago, I photographed some of my very first fall family sessions at the Lancer Ferry with this special family.

And this fall, I’m going back.

There’s something about this spot — the river, the open prairie, the ferry, and that beautiful fall light — that has always stuck with me. It feels pretty special to return to where a little piece of my photography journey began here in Saskatchewan

So, Fall Mini Sessions at the Lancer Ferry are officially OPEN!

I’ll always prefer a full family session. I love having the time to slow down, let everyone settle in and capture more than just the “everyone look at me” photos.
But I also know how full family schedules are.

School. Hockey. Dance. Work. Harvest. Life.

Sometimes 15 minutes is exactly what you need to get everyone together, update those family photos and put something new on the wall before another year slips by.

These sessions will be just 15 minutes, and depending on where that gorgeous fall sun lands, we may photograph at the start of the ferry or take the ferry across to the other side.

The softest light, that after-sunset glow hanging over the water, and two people who made it incredibly easy to just step back and capture them as they are.

Scout’s engagement session felt like a little preview of what’s coming — and now I’m even more excited for their October wedding.

This is the kind of photography I want more of.
Not just pretty photos. The in-between moments. The laughing, leaning in, bare feet by the water, the way someone looks at the person they’re about to marry.

There is nothing polished about the first 48 hours.

The hospital bracelets.
The tiny wrinkled fingers.
The sleepy faces.
The way they fit on your chest like they’ve always belonged there. It’s raw. It’s emotional. It’s brand new.

And it changes so incredibly fast!

Fresh 48 sessions are photographed right in the hospital, capturing your baby exactly as they are in those first hours — no elaborate setup, no need for everything to be perfect. Just you 2 meeting this little person you’ve created and waited for.

If you’re expecting, you can book ahead and I’ll keep your due date on my calendar.
And if baby has already arrived? Text me from the hospital. Seriously. If I’m available, I’ll grab my camera and come.

This cutie came in for his sitter session and all we had so much fun.
His mommy booked the maternity Newborn and sitter combo to capture all the big moments. We opted for a simplistic, soft blue and just showcased his cute little smile if your kiddies or family is having a milestone to celebrate, give me a call!
