From mountain views to wildflowers to the soccer field... this Fernie grad session had it all. 🌼⛰️⚽

Last night's senior session took us all over Fernie, chasing golden light through the wildflowers, soaking in the incredible mountain views, and finishing where so many memories have been made...on the soccer field.

Between Frankie's stunning grad gown, her love of soccer, and the mountains that have shaped so much of her story, every location felt like a perfect reflection of who she is in this season of life.

And of course, we couldn't celebrate this milestone without the people who helped get her here. Mom, Dad, and her brothers joined in for a few family photos, creating the perfect mix of senior portraits and memories with the people who matter most.

This gallery already has me completely obsessed.

Grade 6 grad + mini family session = a super fun combination!

Because while this milestone is all about celebrating your grad, it's also a chapter for the whole family. The proud smiles, the hugs, the "how are they growing up so fast?" moments... those deserve to be documented too.

Yesterday's mid-day session was filled with laughter, a few goofy sibling moments, proud parents, and one excited girl ready to take on high school.

These years seem to fly by in the blink of an eye, and I'm always so grateful to help families freeze a little piece of them before the next chapter begins.

💛 and it was all yellow 💛

Last night's session has me completely in my feels.

From her great-grandpa's cowboy boots in the buttercup wild flowers to the dreamiest golden hour light, and a stunning yellow lace grad gown that looked like it was made for this valley... every detail was perfection.

Honestly, the beauty of both the valley and Miss Felicia absolutely blew me away.

Watching her confidence shine while the sun dipped behind the mountains made for the kind of evening photographers dream about.

If there was an Olympic event for cake smashing, little Miss C would be taking home gold. 🏅🧁

The grin. The frosting-covered fingers. The handfuls of cake flying through the air in pure delight. I just can't. She is too cute.

This girl was living her best life, and honestly, I can't stop smiling every time I look through these photos.

Last night's session was everything a family session with littles should be. Chaotic, joyful, playful, with a few tears sprinkled in ( if you're a toddler parent, you already know 😉), and most of all, filled with genuine smiles.

Golden hour light teased us all evening, peeking through dramatic storm clouds and creating some truly epic images. I'm absolutely in love with the first one here...

At one point afterward, I asked Mom what her secret was to keeping a happy marriage after 17 years together and raising three kids. Her answer was simple: "Find joy in the little things."

And I think these photos symbolize that perfectly.

Not all the perfectly posed moments, but the laughter, the cuddles, the silly faces, the hands reaching for Mom and Dad, and all those little in-between moments that make up a life together. 💛

*swoon* I think this is the largest first-look sneak peek gallery I've ever delivered!!

Last night's grad and family session had a little bit of everything — dreamy light, moody clouds, lovebirds, twins, outfit changes, and so much personality.

The result? An absolutely massive gallery packed with variety and moments that feel so them.

This is one of those sessions that reminds me why I love what I do. Watching families celebrate big milestones while also freezing the little in-between moments is such a gift.

Looking for grad photos? I only have a couple of spots left this summer, and somehow I already have FIVE names on my list for May 2027. Wild. ❤

Cadets!! You were amazing last night. I truly love photographing your event each year. Like I really look forward to it! It's so neat to visit you all and see the incredible growth and confidence that shines through from one year to the next.

And because June is absolute chaos around here and I refuse to let myself get buried under a mountain of editing, your photos are already just about ready!

This chick has been parked in front of her computer working away all day long, fuelled by determination (and probably an unhealthy amount of black tea). Keep an eye out...your gallery will be heading your way very soon!

Well... somehow I'm already talking about September.

If you've been meaning to book grad photos, a newborn package, family photos, or a Mountain Babe session (complete with a tan and makeup!!), this is your little reminder that my summer calendar is almost full.

I've got literally a couple dates left before September, and while I fully support procrastination in some areas of life, booking photos is probably not one of them.

The mountains are looking pretty incredible right now, the evenings are long, and this season always flies by faster than any of us expect.

So if photos have been sitting in the back of your mind, send me a message. Whether you're celebrating a grad, updating family photos, or just looking for an excuse to get dressed up and wander around the mountains with me, I'd love to get you on the calendar.

And no, I'm not emotionally prepared to even think about summer being to be over either. 😂
