There has been a whisper in my heart that I have heard for quite some time now, the same 5 words, over and over again. “It’s time for a change.”
In the past 2 years I have felt such a shift in my life, an awakening of my love for running, the joy of being an aunt, the excitement of travelling the world, and the happiness of nursing in Emergency again. (Yes, I did just say that.)
I have thought about what I am going to say next a least a million times over. Is this really what I want? After so many years of dedication and hard work, do I really want to give this all up? How will the financial loss affect my life? Will I regret this decision the second it is made?
Over and over, the same answer comes to me as clear as day, it’s time to close this chapter.
And so, with great gratitude and humbleness, I am sharing that I will be closing Andrea’s Impressions Photography.
I cannot begin to express my overwhelming appreciation of the many friends, family and strangers who have supported and encouraged this journey of mine. There hasn’t been a single day that I haven’t woken up grateful for your love and appreciation of my art form.
I have had the joy of photographing over 120 weddings, countless beautiful families and even a small handful of babies. I have shared in your laughter and your tears. I’ve photographed a wedding in Muskoka. I’ve photographed a wedding on a city bus. I’ve done an engagement session at Westminster Abby London England and Clearwater Beach Florida. A wedding with no electricity, a wedding with Disney on Ice Stars, an affluential politician, an Instagram Yoga celebrity, a wedding an hour long and a wedding 16 hours long! It truly has been quite the journey!
I will be finishing 2020 with 10 wonderful weddings, enjoying every minute and savoring the end of this career. Of course, I will also honor any outstanding Gift Certificates and previously purchased sessions.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, Andrea.
