Branding Session ~ Mary Jane Millar

On Monday, I had the pleasure of meeting Mary Jane, and from the moment I walked into her home, I immediately felt a connection with her 🤍

She is so warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to. It didn’t take long to understand why her clients feel so comfortable and at ease around her. She has such a calming and genuine presence, and it was truly lovely spending time with her!

This weekend I met with the Shipley family at Ipperwash Beach! The wind made it a little chilly, but the backdrop is always beautiful at our local beaches. 🩷 Introducing Maggie 🩷

I always love seeing this wonderful family, and last week they welcomed their second beautiful daughter! It was so special getting to capture these early moments for the Kettlewells once again.

During Maggie’s newborn session, we recreated a couple of favourite photos from big sister Ellie’s session—including the teddy bear shelf setup and photos with their beautiful pink knit outfit, a treasured family heirloom that’s over 50 years old

There’s something so meaningful about carrying these traditions and memories from one baby to the next.

~Introducing Aariv ~

Welcoming sweet baby Aariv! This little one is already surrounded by so much love—both his parents and grandparents were absolutely doting on him during our session, and it was so beautiful to witness!

Kishan and Swikriti chose the name Aariv meaning “king of wisdom”—such a strong and meaningful name for a beautiful baby boy. 🩵

It was such a pleasure meeting this wonderful family and capturing these first precious moments together. Congratulations on your new arrival!

~ Brielle's Cake Smash ~

Splish, splash—it was time for a duck & bubble bath cake smash with sweet Brielle! 🫧🦆🎂 I love the theme that Mom & Dad chose for Brielle's session!

Brielle did not even hesitate to dive into her cake when we placed it down in front of her! And we finished with a bubble bath—such a perfect way to celebrate this big milestone!

It seems like yesterday we met for her newborn session! What a joy to watch her grow! In just a few weeks she'll be one year old!

~ Sadie is (Nearly) 17! ~

In just over a week Sadie will be celebrating her 17 birthday! I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Sadie for her birthday portraits yesterday afternoon at Grand Bend beach! The sunshine showed up for us, but there was still a bit of a chill in the air — and Sadie handled it like a champ.

Between the breeze and the waves, she shared so many beautiful smiles and chatted about her exciting plans for the summer and the year ahead. It’s always so special to capture these milestone moments… and a reminder of just how quickly the years fly by!

Wishing you the happiest 17th birthday, Sadie! I can't wait to see what the year has in store for you!

~ Introducing Bennett ~

Yesterday I had the sweetest session with the Hendrickx family 🤍 It feels like just yesterday we were capturing Renesmee as a newborn—and now she’s a proud big sister to baby brother Bennett!

Renesmee absolutely loved taking photos with her brother and was so patient and gentle holding her sleepy little sidekick. Moments like these are just the best 🥹

~ Forest Skating Club ~

I recently had the opportunity to photograph the skaters from our local skating club, and this year’s theme was “Skating the Maple Trail” — a tour across Canada! Their board and I worked together to choose a backdrop that would bring the theme to life, and the skaters’ costumes absolutely shine in the photos! I think the Northern Lights theme might be my personal favourite!! Which theme is your fave?!

Printed portraits were brought to the arena last night, March 12th. If you were not present to receive your prints, please see a board member the next time your child is on the ice with the Forest Skate Club.
