Not to get morbid on this beautiful mid-week afternoon, but I saw something similar that hit me in the chest like a brick. And I knew I had to share it with you 🤍

1. Record her voice – her laugh, her advice, an ordinary conversation in the kitchen, the way she says your name.
One day, it will be priceless.

2. Take photos and videos of her the way you see her – beautiful, alive, and completely herself.

3. Fall asleep next to her while watching a movie or talking, just like when you were a child.

4. Ask her what left the deepest mark on her heart (both good and bad)

5. Ask her what dreams she gave up or put on hold for her family.

6. Ask her to tell you about your childhood in the way she remembers it – and the things she was afraid of.

7. Blast her favourite bands and dance with her in the kitchen. Make a meal together.

8. Tell her what you’re grateful for, what you were angry about, and what you understand now.

9. Give her a hand / foot massage. Brush her hair. Hold her.

9. Hold her hand in public, even if people are watching.

10. Give her one day when she doesn’t have to do anything for anyone. Pamper her whole heartedly.

Bonus 11. Make her breakfast and tell her, “I love you, mum.”

If you’re lucky enough to have your mum here still, show her how much you appreciate her. Forgive her for her mistakes. Heal. 🤍
