✨ Under the Catenary Lights ✨

There is something truly magical about prom night.

The anticipation, the excitement, the carefully chosen dress and suit, and the memories being made that will be talked about for years to come. ❤️

These two looked absolutely incredible beneath the warm glow of Fort St. John's iconic catenary lights. The rich red gown, the city lights overhead, and the energy of prom night created the perfect backdrop for a timeless portrait.

A special thank you to the City of Fort St. John for working with local photographers and temporarily closing portions of the street to help make these sessions possible. Your support not only creates a beautiful setting for our graduates, but also provides a safe environment for students, families, and photographers to celebrate this important milestone.

As a photographer, I don't take lightly the trust families place in me to preserve these memories. Watching our community come together to create these experiences for our graduates is something truly special.

A few days ago, I met with this sweet couple just before they headed into their reservation to celebrate their 31st wedding anniversary.

No elaborate planning. No months of preparation. Just two people who have spent over three decades building a life together.

Before they left for dinner, we took a few minutes to capture this season of their story.

And honestly?

Those are often the moments that matter most.

Life moves quickly.

✨ PROM 2026 ✨

What a night.

From the excitement of getting dressed, to the laughter with friends, to those final moments under the city lights... prom is about so much more than photos.

It's about celebrating a milestone, preserving memories, and capturing a season of life that passes far too quickly.

This little behind-the-scenes glimpse is a look at what went into creating 19 beautiful prom sessions Saturday. A huge thank you to all of the amazing students and families who trusted me to document such a special evening.

A special thank you to Tessa, who spent the day fixing flyaways, straightening dresses, organizing groups, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, and helping everything run smoothly. I am so greatful.

And a huge thank you to the prom moms who snapped some of these behind-the-scenes moments throughout our 16-hour day. These memories are so special to have.

Some sessions just feel like pure magic from start to finish, and this one was exactly that.

Golden hour, a lush green field, a mountain backdrop, and two people who are so genuinely, beautifully in love — oh, and the most adorable little puppy who clearly knew exactly where to be.

This is what I live for. Not perfectly posed couples standing stiff in front of a camera — but real moments. Foreheads together. Laughter mid-spin. The way they looked at that tiny pup like it already had their whole hearts.

This is your reminder that your love story deserves to be documented — exactly as it is, exactly as you are. Genuine, warm, and full of life.
