Hey everyone! I thought it was time to reintroduce myself since I’ve had quite a few new faces around here lately — and I’m SO thankful you’re here!
I’m Vanessa, the face behind VB Photography! My little business has been open for over 11 years now, but my photography journey actually started back in 2010 as a fun hobby. I never imagined it would turn into something I’d still be doing (and loving!) all these years later.
Photography is a huge passion of mine, but there’s another job I absolutely LOVE too — teaching! I’m a full-time Grade 3 teacher, so most days you can find me in the classroom, and my evenings and weekends are often spent behind the camera or editing away! On top of those two hats, I’m also a mom to two busy girls who definitely keep me on my toes. Life is busy, a little chaotic, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
As we head into one of my busiest photography seasons of the year , I just wanted to give a little reminder that editing times can be slightly longer during the fall. Mini sessions can take up to 3 weeks, and full sessions & grad galleries can take 4–6 weeks.
During some weeks, I’m photographing anywhere from 2–15 sessions a week while also teaching full-time and doing the mom thing!I truly put so much care into every gallery, and I never want to rush through your memories just to get them out the door.
So THANK YOU for your patience, for continuing to book with me, for sharing my work, recommending me to your friends, and simply following along. Every bit of support means more to me than you probably realize.
11+ years later, and I still feel incredibly lucky that I get to do something I love. Here’s to another busy, beautiful fall season!
