I’m truly honoured to be collaborating with painter Pamela Tate on our upcoming exhibition, Iceland: Brush and Lens. This body of work brings together two perspectives, painting and photography, capturing the raw beauty, atmosphere, and quiet power of Iceland’s landscapes.

Grateful as well to O’Connor Gallery in Gananoque for hosting this show and providing a space where these visual stories can come together.

More details to come soon. I look forward to sharing this journey with you.

A glacier can represent the slow but profound transformation of our character, beliefs, and perspectives. Like the massive ice formations, we are shaped by the experiences we encounter – the freezes and thaws, the crevasses and the avalanches. Over time, these experiences sculpt us into the people we are today, much like the way a glacier is shaped by the terrain it traverses. Our core may remain intact, but our surface is continually altered, leaving a trail of growth and evolution in our wake.

When we speak of a relationship as a glacier, it suggests a bond that has endured the test of time, growing deeper and more resilient with each passing year. Like a glacier's slow, deliberate movement, a strong relationship is built upon a foundation of trust and understanding that takes time to form. Yet, just as glaciers can calve off icebergs or melt under the sun's heat, even the most steadfast relationships can undergo dramatic changes. Sometimes, these shifts are visible and dramatic, while other times, they are subtle, almost imperceptible, until one day you realize how much has shifted beneath the surface.

The Sigöldugljúfur Canyon, also known as the Valley of Tears, is a Canyon surrounded by a fantastic series of waterfalls seemingly stemming from nowhere. This is because the water runs underground below a layer of solidified lava and drops straight into the canyon below. . . .

Arctic Terns are buoyant and graceful fliers that frequently hover above feeding grounds and nesting colonies. They take small fish from the surface of the water or plunge to a depth of around 20 inches, rising out of the water with a shake and swallowing fish head first.

Arctic terns have one of the longest-known migratory routes of all animals. Terns that nest in the Netherlands can travel over 90,000 km (55,900 miles) per year. Arctic terns travel an estimated 2.4 million km (1.491 million miles) in their lifetimes. That's three round-trip flights to the Moon
