Sometimes we shoot group photos for folks and we had the pleasure of being part of opening night of the Ernestown Oldtimers Annual Puck n Ball tournament in Amherstview this weekend. It's a baseball tournament that has been happening for many years (it used to have hockey as well but apparently that has faded away over the years.) The 2018 Event was held in honour of Phil Dodd who passed away in the spring of this year. His Mother Beryl threw the opening pitch after a minute of silence to remember Phil. His team (many family members and others) formed the Dodd Squad. Shirts indicated who Phil was to each of the players. A very special way to commemorate a very special person and a life well lived.
