Little glimpse into one of my mini sessions last weekend!
It was this couples first time in front of my camera and aren’t they stunningggg😍 generally mini sessions aren’t my favorite, I prefer the relaxed pace of a full session so each family or couple gets my full attention, but, last weekend was fantastic. 8/8 sessions were full of smiles and laughter and every gallery was so beautiful and unique to each group. I’d do minis every month if they always went that smoothly!
P.s. if you’re debating bringing your dog to a session, the answer is YES

The third time I’ve had the privilege of capturing the Nowell family, they’re always such a pleasure to have in front of the lens! We went out to winklers library and park for this adorable session.
I’ve been leaning more into my intentional documentive style of photography, less posing and perfecting and more guiding moments and letting your natural connection, and your child’s mannerisms you love so much shine through. This slight shift changes your gallery from pictures, to moments captured and I’m loving the way these new galleries have been feeling.

Getting pictures done in your home brings a whole new level to your gallery, it’s you.

A little reintroduction as we step into busy season!

Hello! My name is Christina Thorne, I’m 23 years old, wife of 5 years in July and mom to a one and two year old boy, and I’m your photographer!

Art has always been a passion of mine and when I was pregnant with my first son I picked up a camera and decided to give this path a go, and I’ve been learning and loving it so much since!

I specialize in milestone photography from your engagement and wedding, to your first baby, and young family. I’m a candid lifestyle photographer, sessions with me are slow paced, intentional, and fully focused on connection.

In other terms, a session with me is a date night. A chance for you and your partner or family to have an hour or so set aside to just be with each other. No screens or distractions, In your home or a pretty scene outdoors, just being together. And at the end of it all you get a beautiful personalized gallery that reflects exactly who you are, and the joy and love you share in the season you’re in.

In lieu of mini sessions for Mother’s Day I’ve decided to host a Giveaway! (If you’ve been itching for mini sessions, I’ll be doing one round of minis in the summer😉)

One winner will win one free session to be used for family, maternity, or newborn, At a location of your choice. (mileage fee may apply if further than 100km from Glenboro)
Session must be booked within 14 days of the draw, and must be used by December 2026.

It’s my birthday! I was thinking of doing 23 fun facts in honour of 23 years old, but let’s be real, no one wants to read that much stuff about one person 😆 So instead I thought I’d share one personal thing that I’m sure many of you relate to. I’ve been feeling burnt out and overwhelmed by all the things I’ve put on my plate (who would’ve thought 🫣) and lately I haven’t been finding joy in the little things like I normally would. I spend way too much time on my phone ingesting every strangers opinion and experiences, and I’m kind of sick of it. No individual was meant to have access to this much instant knowledge, and I need to cut myself off for a little while. I’ll still be creating art behind the scenes, and I’m working on getting my new website up! But I’m going to be absent here for a stretch. So thank you to everyone who has, and continues to support me on my little slice of the vast interwebs, I’ll be back! And here’s to bettering ourselves a little every day, one decision at a time❤️
