This session is a pretty special one for me. đ„č
This is my cousin Jadyn, who I havenât seen since she was little because she lives all the way in Pennsylvania⊠and somehow that little girl is now heading into her SENIOR YEAR. đ
Senior photos are a HUGE thing in the States, and when Jadyn and her mom asked me to do hers while they were here, I was so excited. Seniors often have their photos taken as theyâre entering Grade 12 and spend their senior year sharing them, celebrating that last year and everything that comes with it.
And I really wish we did more of that here.
Graduating is such a huge milestone. We tend to save the photos for the cap, gown and grad dress at the very end, but thereâs something so fun about documenting who they are going into their final year too. Their style, their personality, the places that mean something to them, just THEM at this point in their lives.
And we couldnât have picked a more meaningful place for Jadynâs. đ€ This is the farm her mom grew up on, where Jadyn has spent so much time over the years, and where I spent so many of my own summers and Christmases playing when I was growing up. Getting to photograph her senior photos here all these years later was pretty dang special.
So I think Jadyn may have officially convinced me that senior photos need to become more of a thing here too. đ„č
