Garden walk today and love all the flowers that are blooming!

Most of my plants came from friends, family, and strangers. My love of plants and flowers has always brought me close to like minded people, and I cannot thank those folks enough for sharing their beautiful plants with me! I do have some store bought plants, but 90% came from others.

Some of these gems were lively and just needed new homes. Others...on the brink of death or not cared about. I love them all! I'm such a plant nerd and a green witch to the highest degree! I love my gardens so much and they reciprocate it. When I'm having a down moment, all I need to do is go to my gardens and all these beautiful gems give me tons of reasons to smile.

Here's just a quick peek of who's blooming right now ❤️

If you love gardening, I will gladly share my little gems with you! If I give you some, I hope they bring as much beauty to you as they have for me 🌸🌼❤️

Every time death presents itself, life is there. Balance comes within the universe at all times.
This bouquet was sent to me the day after my dad chose his last day to be here in the physical realm.
I set it on my patio table and have watched it do what flowers do when they are plucked from the soil that feeds them....
I've never liked being given cut flowers because I've always felt that cut flowers are for funerals. They fade away and die just like the soul you lost from your life....
However, this bouquet has been different. I expected all of them to fade at the same time. This life, this gem, did not! It's thriving and living well past the other flowers. And it gives me reflection, hope, and solidifies my beliefs.

This lovely little flower has withstood what the others could not. It has been resilient, despite being cut off from its grounding. It is blooming and thriving, while the others have wilted.
It's a reminder to me that despite the adversity I'm struggling with, I can bloom and conquer everything.

Thank you little flower! You've helped me in my reflections and seeing the little glimmers in life that make it worth living ❤️

Welp....looks like I'm not using my garden hose for a bit. The babies! I gotta think about the babies! 🤣

Momma Robin felt my yard was a safe place for her fledglings. They're so big!!! And suuuuuuuper cute 🤩

Certified my yard as a wildlife friendly habitat last year, got the gold seal of approval from the birds this year 🥰

I'll see you soon dad! Until that day, rest well and be at peace. I'll forever remember "a panda is not a bear!" Brilliant parting last words of wisdom for Raili and I!

You've always been my favorite honey badger to poke with a spoon (sweet as pie, until agitated beyond belief...I now know where I get that from!).

I know you'll come back and visit me, even if only in my dreams. I know you'll forever protect Raili and Mom, and be the spirit guiding them.

We love you so much, forever and always ❤️

Garden therapy is the best therapy! I've been avoiding social media and messages for the last few days in an effort to compose myself and adjust to the chaos life provides. I've been spending the evenings in my garden appreciating the return of my friends....both plant and bird kind!
Here are some of my plant friends (there's more flowers to come!). So far for flowers, my trilliums have come back splendidly!
I was so, so pleasantly surprised to see that my Jack In The Pulpit came back!!!! Soooooo cooooollllll!!!!!! (Flower nerding to the max!)
My bleeding heart has also flowered and bestowed me with the most beautiful pink blooms 😍
My Pasque Flower has been my earliest bloomer with many flowers. This pretty purple gal will open tomorrow, and be gone with in 2 days...but she has other buds that will follow her lead ❤️
I cannot wait for the rest of my gardens to bloom!

Today is the day we celebrate my dad!
Happy 74th birthday!! You've always loved me and cared for me. You taught me so many things and continue to do so. You've raised me to be tough as nails and highly independent. You brought me up on great music, and showed me the world of photography (which I am forever indebted to you for!). I love you so much!!
Happy birthday, Daddo! XO

Happy birthday to my Crimmy! Oh how wonderful it is to see you reach your 11th year! Despite the white in your face and the arthritis in your hips, your voice is still as loud as ever (everyone knows when you're outside 😂).

I hope to be blessed with a few more years of your energy, love, and unwavering need to bark whenever I get a hug or hug someone else (your not jealous at all...are you?), and many more pets and cuddles. I love you so much, Crimson! Best pooper dog ever!

Spring has sprung!
Plants are sprouting, gardens are waking from their long winter slumber, and the pond is slowly thawing!
Soon all my gardens will be awake and active with bugs, birds, and critters of all kinds!
Hurry up mother nature! I just want to play outside in my Eden!

After feeling quite a bit off all day, I took a moment to reset and refocus in the warmth of the sun.
It was just the thing to remind me that more sunny days and greenery are just on the horizon after a long winter slumber. It made my little heart flutter for just a moment as I took in the beauty of the abundance that I've been blessed with.
Thank you to the universe for everything you've given me!
