98% of the day happened in French. Which was a fun little game for me, since I don't have a French bone in my body 😂

I've now photographed this family through an engagement, a wedding, one baby + now their second daughter.

That's a lot of years of trust.

By the time we hit the beach, this crew was fully unbothered by my camera. Which is exactly why I captured moments like Amelia snatching every polaroid before it even finished developing (she wanted to keep every single one) ☺️

Watermelon juice down to the elbows. Bare feet in the sand. And the laughs dad gets out of the girls (the best sound in the world)

There was a baby bird sitting in the middle of the road.

We found him at the end of the session and Maeve went straight into rescue mode (he's okay, for anyone worried haha)

They bought their first home this year…

which came up somewhere between all the genuine laughs. Their chemistry did most of the work 😍

Three boys in matching tuxedos. That's what I saw first walking in.

Kayla and Rob kept it small. Their closest people, a waterfront ceremony at Killarney Mountain Lodge, and those three front and center for all of it. They both kept saying it throughout the day… how much it meant to have their boys right there beside them.

Genuinely one of my favourite days behind the lens.

Being photographed by a stranger is vulnerable.

Most people never say it out loud (but almost everyone feels it)

By the end, these two were saying yes to every idea I threw at them no matter how ridiculous it was.

I used to have a Piczo site (If you know, you know) 😅

Truthfully, I've always been a creative person. But somewhere between high school and jobs that just paid the bills, that part of me got buried. I coasted for years. Never reached past "fine"

Then I picked up a camera.

I remember leaving my very first session feeling something I hadn't felt in any other job…completely lit up. Like I'd finally found the thing I was supposed to be doing.

Every session since has given me that same feeling (Including this one)

There's so much more potential in your life when you stop coasting and start reaching for what ACTUALLY lights you up.

I spent the whole day looking up and catching moments that just unfolded all on their own. Their people were loyal, loud with laughter + exactly who you'd want around on the best day of your life.

Two people who were clearly meant to find each other.
