We left our house for the first time since Monday (hallelujah) to check out our fave little Christmas parade in Berwick. The kids got their first glimpse of Santa this year and we took the long way home to check out the Christmas lights. I have taken almost no photos of my kids (with my actual camera) since school started in September. Actually, the last photos I took of them were on Halloween. š«
The past three months have been extremely challenging for me, for all of us. This season has included every virus known to man, more weddings than Iāve done in an entire year packed into 5 weeks, Covid, a school strike that kept my 4-year old home with me for two weeks, on top of work and university. Top that off with whatever nightmare illness we (and the rest of Nova Scotia) has just experienced, and man I am counting down the minutes until Christmas break.
The Christmas parade is one of my favourite holiday events, and was a great reminder of all the twinkly bits of joy that are strung in-between the challenges and that at the end of all the work a cozy blanket, a cheesy Christmas movie, and a cup of good cheer awaits us!
Canāt wait to see my friends and family over this holiday seasonā Iāll be soaking up every last minute this year. šTown of Berwick
