Today I photographed a maternity session for a client visiting from Bermuda and honestly I’m still kind of in shock that she chose ME.

She told me she had been searching for a maternity photographer and looked at photographers from Niagara, Toronto, and even Florida since they’re heading there tomorrow… but she fell in love with my work because she specifically wanted bold backdrops and creative studio portraits.

Back home in Bermuda she said there are only a couple newborn photographers and most sessions are beach based, so she was looking for something completely different and unique.

Hearing someone say “you were exactly what I was looking for” is such a surreal feeling as an artist 🥹

Sometimes I forget how special it is to create colourful, creative studio work until moments like this remind me.

The fact that someone traveling internationally found my little studio in Niagara and trusted me to capture such an important moment means the world to me 💕

I’m just feeling really grateful today
