We cut the ribbon on May 9th, and I'm not going to pretend I kept it together. The second it dropped, I jumped up and down like a kid. 😄
Before we cut it, I said a few words.
The first thing out of my mouth was thank you to God, because this studio is a miracle and I meant that with everything in me.
The second was thank you to my husband Phil, who built so much of what you see inside those walls. Literally. With his hands. And who now needs a lot of snacks and a nap. 🤍
My parents came. My sister and her family. Phil and three of our kids. And then some of my long-time clients walked through the door, people I've photographed for years. Some of their photos are on our fridge. Some are in the hallway. Seeing them stand in this space and realize they're part of this story got me.
New faces came too. And the thing I kept hearing? "It's even better in person than it looks online."
Many of our guests left with a free photo. That was always the plan, and seeing it actually happen was the best part of the whole day.
Twenty years of showing up for families in this region. And this feels like the beginning of something even better.
If you've been thinking about booking a session this summer, the link is in my bio. We'd love to have you in. 🤍
