“What do you like so much about photography?” ✨

This is by far the most asked question when people find out I’m a photographer. Hands down every time that this comes up, someone will ask me what my favourite thing about photographing people is. The truth is, it’s meeting new people! I love learning about everyone’s unique stories and helping the people in them showcase all the incredible emotions that come along with their journey. 🥰

Sometimes I forget how inspiring new challenges can be until I see the results! 🤩

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m bias towards natural environments for locations. Lakes, beaches, parks… you name it! If you leave it up to me, most of the time I will pick a location that is full of nature. I decided for this session to mix it up with a downtown location and boy was it worth it! 😍 So many amazing backdrops to use in a one block radius and lots of fun colours.

I feel like I have just started to graze the surface of the beautiful locations that the Guelph area has to offer. Let me know if you have any recommendations for me to check out! 👇🏼

It’s the best day ever… album delivery day! 🙌🏼😍 Truly a long awaited day for everyone. I can’t wait to hear what Shannelle and her family think, and HOLY MOLY I cannot wait to get the prints done for this album! 🎓👩🏻‍🎓

It’s never too late to celebrate your graduation! Shannelle’s grad was ruined by covid last year but that didn’t stop us from getting her into a cap and gown and celebrating the end of this journey. Congratulations .bruder on your 1 year anniversary of being a 🎊

✨ GROWTH ✨

Reflecting back on 2020, the word that stands out to me is GROWTH! I was fully expecting this year to be one of settling in. I finally felt sure footed in my new position as a manager and started looking for creative outlets in my free time. I felt comfortable in my relationship, and in a routine that I liked. But there’s a funny little quote that comes to mind, “if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans”.

Little did I know that 2020 would bring my new home (and the renos that came with it), a new job, and a new business based on my creative outlet. 🤗 With every turn that this last year took I was forced to grow and find this new version of myself. I took chances I wouldn’t have taken last year and found new ways to learn in a post-schooling world. I was forced to acknowledge that we are never done growing and evolving.

Oh the weather outside is _______!❄️ What do you think, frightful 🥶 or delightful ☃️?

I’m team delightful ☃️, especially when we’re staying at home and off the roads! Well, that is unless I’m shovelling the driveway.

The snow has been such a beautiful sight from our big bay window, and on our walks through the neighbourhood. Plus it makes for photos like these!
