If you're a vegan in Halifax, you undoubtedly know and chef Lauren Marshall. This place not only serves great food to eat-in or to-go, (get a vegan donair! or the vegan big mac fries) but also serves the vegan community with house made pantry items, groceries, cheeses and proteins to cook at home. There are always a few flavors of vegan cookies and vegan cheesecake too. I have seldom met someone who brings as much warmth to a first encounter as Lauren did during this shoot, if she treats her customers half as well as she treated me that day, I am sure they are loyal for life.
