Thank you for the shout out Professional Photographers of America. Print competition was one of the best things I did on my photography journey.

I am proud to announce that I am now an accredited photographer in the Feline and Canine categories with Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC). To become accredited you must submit a body of work that meets certain criteria and the submission must be judged and accepted by a jury of my peers. I applied for the Feline accreditation in October and received an Excellent on the submission. This past January I submitted for the Canine accreditation and received a Very Good. I've included a couple of my favorites from both submissions.

Living the high life! Well, at least on a tall chair! Who are we kidding? All of the dogs that end up in front of my camera are loved and spoiled.

Award Winning Pet Photographer
Hello! So I glad you stopped by! If you are anything like me, you cherish your pets and the unconditional love that they provide. I believe that that unbreakable bond should be preserved for years to come, even after our pets have left us. After all, one of the hardest parts about being a pet owner is knowing that eventually we will have to say good-bye. Having a beautifully designed portrait or album that captures the spirit of your bond and is something that you can look at and treasure everyday is something that I am truly passionate about.
A professional photography session doesn’t have to be a lot of work. In fact, I believe it should just be a lot of fun for you and all the members of your family. I’ll be with you every step of the way to guide you through the process from start to finish. Taking care of all the details, from clothing right down to where in your home your artwork be displayed. If you need help hanging your finished pieces, I’ll help with that too!
I want you to feel relaxed about the whole process. Photography sessions with me are free flowing. Well, they kind of have to be. The main subjects can’t speak english which kind of puts them in charge, at least to a certain extent. We may have an idea of how we woud like to them to sit just so, however, they may end up sitting completely the opposite of what we had in mind. In my experience, what we end up with always tends to be so much better than what we had planned because it ends up to be a true representation of their personality. So my best advice is relax and let your session be an experience that you enjoy and will always remember.
So a little about me. I am a Certified Professional Photographer though the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) organization. An honor that less than 2200 photographers hold across America. My photography has won awards at the state, district and international levels through competitions held by PPA. I am a proud sponsor and partner of of the Humane Society of Central Oregon where I donate my time photographing portraits of animals that are in need of a loving home.
I have twin human children that are 8 years old and 6 furbabies, 3 dogs, 2 cats and a rabbit. My kids love animals just as much, if not more, than I do. Pet ownership has taught them compassion and responsibility and despite having to help take care of them, they are always asking if we can bring more furbabies home. I grew up in Toronto, Ontario so ice hockey is a big part of my life and I play with the Bend Parks and Rec program during the winter months. We are pretty much an ice family with my daughter heavily involved in the Bend Ice Figure Skating Club and my son enjoying learning the sport of hockey and skating with his sister whenever he can get the chance.
I’ve always had a love for animals and photography. When I was younger I had thought of becoming an oceanographer and veterinarian. I am thrilled to be able to combine my passions into a career I love. I can’t wait to meet you and your family and have some fun together making memories to be displayed in your home and cherished for generations to come.
