Got any Silver? My son and I are still collecting...but silver is now nearly $100/ounce!!!!

If anyone would like to give a Family Shoot Gift Certificate for Christmas...I'll trade a Gift Certificate for just 2 ounces of silver! That's a great deal! Silver maples, Sterling silverware or even just some pre-1967 spare change (dimes, quarters, 50-cent or silver dollars)...that's unbelievably only $3 in old change, regardless of the condition! (the melt value far exceeds any numeristic value!!)

More from Emily & Matt's late evening Engagement Shoot on Conrad's Beach. We're all thrilled with their photos and I'm very much looking forward to shooting their Big Lebanese Wedding!!!

Conrad's Beach is a great spot for a shoot! When doing beach shoots I spend very little time on the sand, if at all...but this beach is different! If the tide is out - that sand ends up being like a big beautiful mirror!

Connor & Alex had such a fun time Saturday! Always laughing and full of smiles, I know why he calls Alex his 'Silly Goose'. In fact, Geese are a common theme in their lives - I saw their home filled with geese drawings, dad, who officiated, wore a geese pin, we were at Sullivan's Pond for the wedding and one of the bridesmaids made beautiful Geese wedding cookies!

Connor and I met at a wedding a few years ago - we were drawn together as I'm 6'8" but he's a few inches taller at 6'10"...and I don't have to look up to anyone often!

The last photo...I'm doing my goodbyes at the end of the night and they ask me to do a selfie with them with my Nikon. As any photographer knows, getting a selfie with your big camera is nearly impossible, especially with back button focus and a lens not made to shoot a foot or two away. I am stretching as far as I possibly can with my 24-70...and I got it! Another advantage to being tall, I suppose!

You'll never guess who's wedding I'm shooting today!!! THIS GUY!!!

Connor & Alexandra are tying the knot and they asked me to look after their day!! (maybe it's my skills but maybe it's because he doesn't want someone shooting up his nose all day, as he's 6'10"!). Us tall guys need to stick together! Being 6'8", it sure will be nice to be surrounded by fellow tall people all day!

Being 6'8", it's not often I encounter someone taller than me but when I do, I gravitate to them. Connor is 6'10". As a joke, knowing he doesn't need to reach often, I put my arm up very high for the 'High Five' and I realized I couldn't reach his hand!! Holy smokes - I had to jump!!

I'm going to do two of these a year (for Mother's Day & August) as I'm super pleased how popular it was. I always feel bad for those who weren't drawn so if anyone would like a photoshoot with me, I'll add a bunch of extra photos onto your final package if you entered into the contest!!! When you know you've hit all the marks in your written vows!

A couple weeks ago I shot a small family wedding by the lake for Petra & Wayne and their immediate families. When shooting ceremonies, I focus on the bride, hit some shots straight down the aisle and then spin to the other side to get some nice shots of the groom and then wide shots of the room/yard, etc. It wasn't till I was editing that I realized how emotionally involved this JP was in Petra's vows - so focused on Petra, I completely missed that while I was shooting! I did know I caught him laughing but didn't realize it was such a great shot of him!

He is also a good friend of theirs...so I do suppose that does explain it! (Which makes me even more happy I captured these images these for them!) 😊

It was a great shoot this morning with Shiyu & Yinjia at Carters Beach! It was my first time there - we found many great spots for images, had terrific weather and even had a curious seal hang out for some of the shoot! (I've been told he's a regular!)

I'm glad I brought my bathing suit!

A couple weeks ago, I shot a very small and intimate wedding for Shiyu & Yinjia, a wonderful couple who met at Dalhousie University. They got married right there in front of the Chem building and all of our photos were taken right in an around that very spot! You really wouldn't think we'd find much variety in such a small area but we were able to get many great looks in that location!

This morning, we are meeting at 9:00am at Carters Beach for a second half of their shoot!
