Here is part two of three in my throwback mini-series from my trip to Rome in 2019. It’s hard to believe these photos were taken nearly seven years ago, when I was still learning the ins and outs of my camera and how to compose a photo. The iconic architecture, mixed with sunny skies, made for an excellent classroom while being immersed in Rome’s deep history and delicious food (I quite literally had pizza for lunch and dinner every day I was there!). Everywhere you turned was a historic building, a detailed statue, or a breathtaking landmark, offering plenty of photo opportunities to explore and learn from.

On my birthday last year, my family and I visited one of my favourite places in Newfoundland, Cape Spear - the easternmost point in North America. The blend of ultra-wide landscapes, deep blue sea, multiple iconic lighthouses, and the subtle view of St. John’s sprinkling the horizon makes it a photographer’s playground. In fact, in 2019, it was this very place that I took my first-ever photos of whales breaching from the crystal-blue water. Cape Spear is a place that never fails to make you stop and realize how beautiful our province is, which is why I like to get out there every year. I remember the sky was an incredibly bright blue, with the late afternoon sun blaring down, which made it a bit tricky to edit these photos, which is all part of the learning process! Nonetheless, it certainly helped illuminate the colour of the water, rocks, and vegetation around you. I highly recommend a visit to Cape Spear if you ever get a chance, I promise you won’t regret it.

From April 3rd to 5th, I had the pleasure of being the photographer for the 2026 Junior Memorial (Toby McDonald) Curling Tournament. It was an action-packed three-day event at the RE/MAX Center where 17 teams swept for the top step. It was my first time taking photos on the ice which was a skip outside my comfort zone, but it presented a thrilling learning opportunity that I’m grateful to have experienced. My goal was to capture the excitement, intensity, teamwork, and friendly yet competitive spirit that filled the room. My favourite shots were those that captured the rock-solid focus in the players’ eyes as they stared down their target. Across
the three days, I took over 3,500 photos and handpicked just over 1,400 to share that hammered home the fun everyone had. I linked the folder to the photos below - I hope you like these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Massive thank you to for inviting me to be the photographer (and helping me throw my first ever rocks!).

To kick off a throw back mini-series, here is the first of three waves of photos from my trip to Rome, Italy back in 2019. I was 15 when I took these photos and was in my second year of using a DSLR camera. I remember Rome was like a photographer’s playground, with stunning landscapes, historic buildings, and history to take photos of around literally every corner. Certainly a bucket list place to visit and I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to be there and take a bunch of photos.

I’m still here! 2025 was an incredibly impactful and busy year; it was full of opportunities, memories, and personal and photography-related growth. My passion for photography and video editing has only grown, and I want the new year to be one where I pull out all the stops, taking Hunter Productions to the next level and beyond. I have so many ideas and projects in the works that I cannot wait to share with everyone over the coming year. To celebrate 2025, here is a highlight reel of some of my favourite shots I took over the year (stay tuned to see the rest of my photos from my 2025 backlog!). Thank you to everyone who has followed my passion for the last 9 years - there is still so much more on the horizon. We'll keep going.

I’m back! I apologize for the radio silence over the past few months - it hasn’t been completely quiet behind the scenes, however. I’ve been busy sorting through and editing some of the 25,000 photos I’ve taken from when I was 14 (an average of 3,500 photos across the last 7 years haha) for reasons I will reveal in the new year 😉. Here are some pictures from my trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia, back in February, when I was away competing in the Enactus Atlantic Canada Regionals Finals with the Enactus Memorial team. After walking away with two first prizes and two second places, the following day, we took the opportunity to explore the streets of Halifax. We spent the entire day wandering around, taking in the old brick buildings and iconic Halifax harbourfront. The sky was a the sun was intensely shining all day, making the textures and colours of each building pop. It was a great way to cap off a hectic, successful, and laughter-filled couple of days I will never forget.

Now and then, I love to challenge myself to create abstract and unique subjects to take pictures of. Here is such an example. I took these photos at the start of this year and am glad to share them finally! I spent a few hours in my room with my camera, a sheet of tin foil, a Neewer RGB stick light (one of my best-ever investments), and as little external light as possible. When I get an idea like this one, and it all falls into place, I find it nearly impossible to stop taking photos as I always wonder how to take even cooler photos. Afterwards, I struggled to finalize the edits of these photos as I feel there is always something I can tweak through the software to do the photos justice. I’ve learnt that sometimes, minimal to no editing is needed and to just let the natural photo speak for itself. Sometimes, the photos are more than enough as is. In this case, I’ve hardly edited these photos, with some being the raw photos from my camera. I also had a tough time picking which photos to post. Fortunately, Instagram now lets me post up to 20 photos in a single carousel rather than just 10. I’m glad I held off on sharing these photos, as I now can share even more and do not need to determine which ones to cut. The updated maximum number of photos was a match made in heaven for these pictures. As always, I hope you like them. Feel free to let me know which one is your favourite. I always enjoy reading your comments!

And with that, here are the photos from day 6, the final day, of my Newfoundland road trip. After leaving the Sea Port Inn in Port Union, we made a three-hour drive down to Garnish (Where my Pop/Grandfather was born). The ride down was incredible! It was mountains and grasslands as far as the eye could see, with it only being Mother Nature and the open road. It also helped that the sky was an incredible blue as the sunshine illuminated the clouds. After arriving in Garnish, we visited some family and took in the view of the coast for a few hours. Afterward, we drove back to Mary’s Town (which we had to drive through to get to Garnish) and checked into the hotel for the night. While it wasn’t the most action-packed day of the trip, it was a great way to decompress before heading back home the next day. This concludes my NL summer road trip and I hope you enjoyed seeing the photos I took and reading these captions. It was an amazing trip that provided me the opportunity to see parts of my home that I had never seen before. I have a lot more photos from my other trips and projects I can’t wait to share as well. Stay tuned!
