When my sweet Aunt Loretta called me last year and told me she was getting married I was both shocked and excited- not only because she said she'd never get married again- but it also meant that I would get to spend a rare summer weekend connecting with family and friends as her guest and photographer! If you can imagine, the summer weekends for a wedding photographer are the busiest time of the year! We tend to miss out on family reunions, camping trips, backyard BBQ's etc. because we're committed to our couples & telling their important stories. So this occasion was one for the history books. Oh, and turns out Aunt Loretta loves black & white images just as much as I do!

I had a conflict in my calendar a few weeks ago and had to hire an associate photographer/ friend, Joyce Snow to shoot this family reunion AND I'M SO HAPPY I DID because these are a few of my favourite things
