Ever thankful for the supportive network of photographers that I’ve met through communities like ! Being self-employed can be lonely at times, but it’s so good to connect with other creatives in the same boat who all just want each other to grow. There is so much room around the table 🫶💞

💞 My love of wedding photography is rooted in documenting those raw, candid, emotion + joy filled moments of you being present to your love and to your people.

However, even I on my wedding day, wanted to have some posed photos of my bridal party and family photos. These can be heirloom photos that get put in albums, on walls, and they’re just great and so sweet to have!! 🤍

And so while I focus on the candid in between moments, I want to prioritize these priceless posed photos as well.

Thus, I try to strike a balance between
✨stepping in✨and providing (often much needed) guidance and instruction for these posed photos as well as
✨stepping back✨to observe and capture all of the candid raw moments as they happen

The key to feeling present is *planning the time* and *planning a list of combos* for these posed photos so that I can facilitate a smooth experience and then afterwards you can take a breath and be present for the rest of the day, knowing that they’re done and that you have got the heirloom photos that you desire 💞
