Welcome to a behind-the-scenes look at how I create your final artwork.

I love sharing these Before and After images to show the careful process behind each portrait.

When I am photographing outdoors, I intentionally shoot a little dark. This technique helps to beautifully retain the rich colors of the image, especially when there is a vibrant sky in the background.

More importantly, you will notice the leash in the before image. Your pet's safety is always my top priority, which is why all dogs are kept securely on their leash during our time together.

The leash is then carefully removed in the editing process to give you that perfect, free-spirited portrait.

I hope this gives you a little insight into how we create these beautiful memories while keeping your furry best friend completely safe.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Our pets are our best emotional support, always knowing what to do in our lowest moments.

Last October, a severe concussion brought on panic attacks, anxiety, and anger issues. It was hard for me to focus on anything, which made simply getting out of bed and going to work incredibly hard.

But Cisco, Tito, and Lucy were there for me, sensing exactly what I needed. It took seven months to recover, and I got through it with the help of my family and dogs included.

Take time to check on your loved ones. Not just the ones who ask for help, but the ones who always seem fine. Sometimes the strongest people are carrying the heaviest weight in silence.

A kind word, a phone call, or even just showing up can make all the difference. You never know what someone is going through.

A new month is here, and this one is already full of things worth looking forward to.

For the pet moms who have been thinking about a photoshoot, the National Dog Mom special is still waiting for you at $195 (regularly $295). It will not be around for long — the offer ends May 9th.

This month, Dog Breed of the Month is all about rescues. If your rescue dog has a story worth telling, head to the website and apply.
