On a cold, wet winter day, it's a perfect time to look back at warmer days. It was a privilege to photograph Doug and Kelly's wedding. I still have some slots available for 2026.

It's Wedding Season! We've come up with the perfect gift for that couple who already owns a toaster, microwave oven and everything else they need to start their married life together.

We LOVE clutter-free gift ideas, and are very excited to partner with Rod Frketich Photography to offer what we consider the perfect wedding gift.

The recipients can choose between a session working with a Professional Organizer or a session with a Professional Photographer.

1. Newlyweds are often overwhelmed with 'stuff' as they may be setting up a home as a couple for the first time, or combining two separate households into one. They also may need help organizing all those other wedding gifts they don't know exactly how to store. A 4-hour organizing session with a professional organizer may be ideal.

2. If they have their living situation organized and functioning, being able to document this chapter of new beginnings as a way of preserving memories is precious. The couple can choose between a 2-hour shoot, plus editing or a 3-hour session of photo instruction. They can learn how to use those buttons on your camera and store your photo's effectively, from a professional.

This offer is valid until October 31st, 2025. For more information or to purchase your gift certificate, get in touch today!

There is help out there for those boxes and albums of old photos.

There is help out there for those boxes and albums of old photos.

What do you do with all those old photos? It's a real dilemma for many families who want to maintain a connection to their roots, but don't have the space or desire to store them. Inheriting old dusty photo albums or large boxes of images of people you've never met often comes with an even bigger emotional burden than just inheriting a beloved tea set. It can somehow feel just wrong to throw images of loved ones into the trash.

When sorting through your photo's keeping these tips in mind should help you reduce clutter and make decisions.

1. Photos do not have to remain in the frames. Frames are bulky and, if in good shape, are donatable. It's ok to remove the image from the frame.

2. Albums were (and are) often used as a way of 'organizing' memories from a trip or time period. Many old albums are actually damaging your photos. Acid-free photo boxes are a better way of keeping images safe, and they take up less space in your home.

3. How many images of one person standing on a beach do you need? Professional photographers don't keep every image they take; they choose the best ones and let the rest go. Keep the images that show personality or the ones where you feel your loved ones are speaking to you. The rest are clutter.

We think digitizing your photo's is a great option and there are different ways to go about it.

If you are looking for help, or more information about different options about what to do with old photographs. Feel free to get in touch!
