There’s so much more to a ceremony than the first kiss. 🤍

The nervous looks before walking down the aisle, seeing each other for the first time, squeezing hands during the vows, parents tearing up, guests laughing, rings going on, and that we’re actually married feeling walking back down the aisle together.

These are some of my favourite moments to photograph because there’s very little that needs to be created—you just get to be completely present while I document everything happening around you.

Summer weddings by the lake just have their own kind of magic. 🌿☀️

Warm evening light, everyone outside enjoying the weather, portraits by the water, and that relaxed summer feeling that carries through the entire day.

I especially love weddings that really embrace their surroundings rather than treating them as just a backdrop. Take a walk down to the water, sneak away at sunset, let your guests hang out outside with a drink and plan a day that actually lets you enjoy where you chose to get married.

And if there’s an opportunity to get a little adventurous for the photos… I’m probably going to encourage it. 🤍

Spent the week in Alberta visiting family and celebrating my sister’s wedding. 🤍 It was such a special few days.

After 10+ years and 100+ weddings, I've learned that most photography growth doesn't come from finding the perfect camera setting.

It comes from understanding people.

How to make clients feel comfortable.
How to work through difficult lighting.
How to recover when things don't go according to plan.
How to build a business that actually supports the life you want.

Over the next little while, I'll be sharing more of the lessons I've learned along the way—both the photography side and the business side.

Think of these as field notes from someone who's made plenty of mistakes and learned a few things because of them.

Here are some highlights 🌿✨

John & Alison’s day moved from a heartfelt church ceremony, to garden portraits, and ended with the dreamiest dinner party vibe at Earth to Table: The Farm. Soft pink florals, candlelight, emotional moments, incredible food, and one of those wedding days that just felt calm in the best way.

One of my favourite parts of the day was how intentional everything felt — private vows, quiet in-between moments, and a reception focused on connection and conversation.

Not every photo has to feel perfectly posed to feel meaningful ✨

Some of my favourite images come from couples simply being themselves — jumping in the lake, laughing, getting a little messy, and fully leaning into the moment together.

Honestly, being outdoors is where I’m happiest. I love camping, swimming, slow days at the lake, and pretty much anything that ends with wet hair and a sunset. So when couples are down for water photos, it’s almost always an immediate yes from me.

I’m always so grateful when couples trust me enough to create images that feel a little more personal, playful, and true to them. These are the kinds of photos that end up feeling the most like memories years later 🤍

A tiny glimpse into a wedding day at Pearle Hotel & Spa 🤍

Clean spaces, beautiful light, lakeside views, and one of those venues that always feels calm even in the middle of a busy wedding day.

Definitely one of my favourite spots for a modern, relaxed wedding in the GTA.
