Hello my beautiful friend,
I hope you’re doing really well! I was recently thinking about all the shoots we’ve done together over the years and it made me smile — I’ve always loved working with you and capturing those moments together.
I’m reaching out because I’m currently putting together some documentation related to the motorcycle accident I had, where I badly broke my shoulder. Since photography requires me to physically hold and operate my camera equipment, the injury meant I couldn’t work the way I normally do for quite some time. My lawyer suggested gathering a few references from people I’ve worked with to help show the kind of work I was doing and the value of those projects.
If you’d be open to it, it would mean a lot if you could write a short reference about your experience working with me. It doesn’t need to be formal at all — just something in your own words. Even a simple reply to this email is perfect.
If it helps, some things that are useful to mention are:
How long we’ve worked together or how many shoots we’ve done
The type of photography work I did for you (events, portraits, projects, etc.)
Your experience working with me and the quality of the work
Roughly how much you’ve spent on my photography services in total over the years if applicable (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT)
Anything you noticed about the physical nature of the job (handling cameras, gear, movement during shoots, climbing on ladders, etc.)
Even a short paragraph or two would be perfect. Honest and simple is exactly what’s needed
Thank you so much for considering this — I really appreciate your support, and I’m very grateful for all the projects we’ve done together.
Sending a big warm hug and thank you in advance.
LOVE LOVE,
Monique
