Puppy Chronicles! 🐾

Good afternoon, everyone! Do you realize what today is?!

🎉 It’s National Great Dane Day! 🎉

Honestly, I can’t believe there isn’t a holiday for me every day. Who wouldn’t love a guy like me? I’m always by your side, I spread glitter wherever I go, and I firmly believe that if it exists, it should probably be tasted at least once.

In today’s video, Mom was eating something called a pear. Now, I had never seen one before, which immediately made me suspicious. As Head of Home Security and Snack Inspection Services, it was my duty to investigate.

I marched right over, gave Mom my best “I volunteer as tribute” face, and requested a sample. Then another sample. And maybe a few more samples… strictly for safety reasons, of course.

Turns out pears are AMAZING! 🍐✨

By the end of my inspection, I was happily munching away while glitter dripped from my mouth like a magical fruit-loving dragon. Mom says I “loved it.” I prefer to say I conducted a thorough and highly successful taste test.

Happy National Great Dane Day to all my fellow gentle giants! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have more snack investigations to perform. 🐾

Moments

Graduation is more than a milestone—it is the culmination of the love, support, and encouragement of everyone who has been part of the journey.

For the first piece, the graduate is brought to life in vibrant color, symbolizing their achievement and the beginning of a new chapter. Surrounding them are family, friends, mentors, and loved ones rendered in grayscale. Some are present, while others may no longer be with us, but all remain an important part of the story. Their presence reflects the lasting impact they have had and the role they played in helping the graduate reach this moment.

The second piece is filled with bright, joyful color throughout. Everyone is celebrated together, representing the love, pride, and happiness shared by those who have supported the graduate along the way. It is a reminder that achievements are rarely accomplished alone—they are shared with the people who have cheered us on, believed in us, and continue to celebrate with us, whether beside us in person or held close in memory.

This collection honors not only the graduate’s success, but also the community of love that helped make it possible.

A few people let me know that my video earlier was too fast. So here’s a slowed down version of celebrating Bobby turning 1.

Puppy Chronicles! 🐾

Today is a very special day—Bobby Bear turns one year old!

What a year it has been watching this wild child grow. I don’t think there’s been a single day when he’s been completely dry. Whether he’s lounging on soaker hoses, splashing in the pool, rolling on snowbanks, or catching snowflakes on his tongue, Bobby has never met water (or snow) he didn’t love.

For Bobby, life is one big adventure every single day. He approaches each morning with excitement, ready to see what fun awaits. Bobby loves just about everything—well, except for that fox. Every toy is his favorite toy, and if it fits in his mouth, it’s meant to be thrown so he can bring it right back. He collects woodland treasures in his fur as if it’s a full-time job, and as far as he’s concerned, belly rubs are one of life’s greatest gifts.

No matter how big he gets, Bobby is convinced he’s a lap dog. And honestly, with that face, who could ever tell him otherwise?

Bobby and Sully are rarely far apart. The bond they share is something truly special, and the love they have for each other is impossible to miss.

Happy Birthday, Bobby Bear—our fuzzy butt, adventure buddy, and constant source of joy. I can’t wait to see where the next year takes us and to continue watching you grow into the amazing dog you are.

Love you so much. ❤️

Puppy Chronicles! 🐾

Good evening, humans. Gather around. We have a tale of bravery, stealth, mud, and absolute terror to share.

Sully: Mom was trying to show everyone what Bobby looked like. Rookie mistake. If you watch closely right at the beginning, you’ll see my surprise attack. She never saw me coming. Not a clue. I moved like a shadow. A whisper in the wind. A highly trained ninja. 🥷

Bobby: Sully says I’m dirty. Mom says I’m filthy. I say I’m a genius. It’s hot outside, so naturally I covered myself in mud. It’s basically air conditioning. Plus, it gives me elite camouflage. Nobody can see me unless I want them to. I become one with the swamp.

Sully: If you keep watching, you’ll see my highly sophisticated strategy for acquiring Bobby’s bone. Some call it stealing. I call it negotiation. Bobby calls it annoying. Either way, it’s effective about 12% of the time.

Bobby: Sully is a very strange creature. Long legs. Tiny brain. But he’s my brother, so I tolerate him.

Sully: Then Mom gave me butt scratches. Finally. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to reach certain places when you’re built like a baby giraffe? That scratch was life-changing. I almost saw stars.⭐️

Bobby: Meanwhile, I remained focused on my important mud-based research.

Sully: And if you stay until the end, you’ll witness our terrifying battle.

Bobby: The ferocity.

Sully: The violence.

Bobby: The destruction.

Sully: Entire neighborhoods could be evacuated.

Bobby: People would flee in fear.

Sully: Or…

Bobby: They might notice we’re basically two giant goofballs playing with a bone.

Both: But we’d appreciate it if you pretended to be impressed. 🐾😂

Puppy Chronicles!

Good morning, everyone! Bobby and Sully, the bestest boys, reporting for duty.

Mom and Dad were supposedly too “busy” to spend the whole day with us. Mom was out mowing while Dad was doing all that mysterious man stuff — moving things with the tractor, putting up a new flag, cutting up an old tree, and generally making a lot of noise.

Now, we have serious concerns about that lawn mower.

Bobby: Did you see what that thing did to the little stuffed toy? Complete destruction. Total carnage. White fluff everywhere. It looked like a blizzard of regret. Good thing it was a cat toy and not one of mine.

So naturally, we decided the safest place to be was on the deck where we could supervise from a secure distance.

Sully: Exactly. We were bravely standing guard over the property.

Bobby: Standing guard? Buddy, you’ve been asleep for three hours.

Sully: It’s called tactical napping. Look it up.

Bobby: Sure. And I suppose the wicker loveseat was part of your tactical operation too?

Sully: Of course. A proper guard dog needs a comfortable observation post.

Bobby: Observation post? You were stretched out like a king at a spa.

Sully: At least I wasn’t rolling around in mud puddles.

Bobby: That’s called camouflage.

Sully: That’s called being filthy.

Bobby: Says the dog lounging on the loveseat like a Victorian nobleman waiting for someone to bring him grapes.

Sully: Excuse me. I didn’t even have a cushion. I was living rough. Rugged. Manly.

Bobby: Right. Nothing says rugged wilderness survival quite like sleeping on wicker furniture while I look like I fought a swamp monster and lost.

Anyway, the lawn mower eventually stopped, the world remained intact, and our security detail was a complete success.

One of us protected the deck from the comfort of a loveseat.

The other became one with the dirt.

We’ll let you decide who the real princess is. 😂

The fog hangs softly over the morning, slowly giving way as the sun begins to peek through. Birds fill the air with song, their voices seeming to beckon the light. Perched on the tallest branch, high above the waking world, rests a ruby-throated hummingbird—a tiny spark of brilliance, a ray of sunshine all its own.

As the Bird Chirps!

A ruby-throated hummingbird hovers beside the feeder,
his wings spread wide in a silvery blur.
Tiny legs stretch forward, reaching for the perch,
while his ruby throat catches the morning light.

For one breathless moment, he hangs between flight and rest—
a living jewel in the air,
poised to land as the world sings around him. 🐦✨

There I was, minding my own business and enjoying a gourmet lunch of sunflower seeds when I spotted something unbelievable just out of frame.

A grackle came swooping in carrying what appeared to be an entire peanut still in the shell. I’m not saying my jaw dropped, but if squirrels could dislocate their jaws, mine would have.

I spent the next several minutes pretending to eat while secretly calculating the odds of that bird accidentally dropping his treasure. For scientific purposes, of course. 🥜🐿️

Puppy Chronicles! 🐾

When Dad’s away, I’m in charge of the house. It’s a big responsibility. Security patrols, squirrel surveillance, quality control inspections… the list goes on.

So Sully and I were outside doing important business—running through bushes, wrestling, and generally keeping the yard safe from absolutely nothing—when I spotted Mom in my flower bed.

You know the one. My afternoon lounging spot. Prime real estate.

Naturally, I had to investigate.

I trotted over and found her kneeling there with a tiny shovel. A tiny shovel. I gave her my best concerned look.

“What are you doing?”

She said, “I’m pulling weeds so we can plant Dahlias and Gladiolus here.”

Now, I’m pretty sure what she meant was, “Bobby, I’m renovating your personal relaxation pit.”

Well, if there’s work to be done, I’m not about to let Mom do it alone.

I immediately jumped into the flower bed and started digging with all four paws. Fast. Efficient. Professional.

Mom seemed surprised, but honestly, I was just helping. Why use a little shovel when you have me?

In no time at all, I had removed dirt, relocated dirt, and created a much deeper, more comfortable lounging area. I even covered myself in dirt so Mom could see how hard I was working.

You’re welcome, Mom.

Not everyone gets landscaping services this good.

If any of you guys need any help, let me know. I’m your man. I accept payments in treats and belly rubs.
