The legacy of a livestock program is built on years of quiet, hard work. Usually, the only thing missing is a mark that carries that same weight.

I’ve always looked at a logo as a handshake. It’s the first thing a buyer sees on a sale catalog or the side of a trailer, it should tell your story before you ever say a word.

I enjoy taking those rough sketches or "vague ideas" and refining them into symbols that feel permanent. It’s about making sure the look of your program is as honest and professional as the work you put into it every day.

If you’re ready to tie your imagery and branding together, I’m always happy to chat about your vision. 🖤

Choosing just one animal from the "Show Me Your Animals" post was a lot harder than I expected! There were some seriously amazing cattle that were sent to me.

I ended up settling on HS Periwinkle, a black Highland heifer from Piney Highlands over in Tennessee. I’ve always liked drawing Highlands, and she was a fun one to get down on the digital canvas.

A big thanks to Piney Highlands for letting me draw her, and thanks to everyone who shared their photos. I enjoyed seeing what you all have in your pens right now. 🖤

April is doing its worst, but we’re busy thinking about June and July. There’s nothing quite like cattle on a lush summer pasture. It’s a view worth more than a quick glance, it’s worth a permanent spot on the wall. Baehr Acres Shorthorns had me out last summer and I'm dreaming of those days. Can’t wait to be back behind the lens in the heat of it.

The wind had a bite to it, but the Bashaw 4-H Beef Club didn’t seem to notice.

Watching these young members work through the cold at their mini show was a masterclass in grit. There’s a quiet discipline in 4-H that you just don't find anywhere else, frozen hands didn't stop them from showing up and getting the job done right!

Huge thanks to the club for having me out to capture the day. It’s a privilege to see this kind of work ethic in action.

A little piece of my heart, sketched in digital ink. 🖤

The dust is finally settling after a whirlwind of bull sales and calving, leaving just enough quiet to return to the sketchbook. Drawing is my first love and cattle are my second, so I had to capture the steady grace of this Simmental heifer. Now, I want to bring a bit of your world into mine. Post a photo of your favourite animal below in the next 48 hours; I’ll pick one to draw and send you the digital file.

I can’t wait to see the animals that keep you rooted.

Edit: Please message me your photo if you can't put it in the comments or feel more comfortable messaging me. 🖤

April is testing our patience, but the soil is just sleeping beneath the white. Hold steady. Soon, the roar of the wind will be replaced by the quiet rhythm of cattle grazing on green hills. The transition is coming.

Your program is more than a pedigree; it’s a legacy.

We spend so much time in the dirt and the heat, it’s easy to forget how beautiful the work actually is. To me, pasture photography isn’t just about "marketing", it’s about stewardship and telling your story.

When we document your livestock in their natural element, we’re showing the world the true heart of your program. These aren't just photos; they are assets that build trust and tell your story for years to come.

Booking now for Summer Sessions.

If you’re planning for a future catalog or a website overhaul, ask me about my Curated Collection Packages. These are designed to provide a full library of premium imagery at a bundled rate.

I’m always happy to chat about your vision for the season, feel free to reach out or send a message my way.

More than just a job.

They say you should find work that doesn’t feel like work, but I think the better goal is finding work that’s worth the hustle. This year has been a humbling reminder that I get to wake up and serve the best industry on the planet.

Since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of a life rooted in this industry. To now be the person you trust to market your program, your sale, and your cattle is an honour I don’t take lightly. I know the weight of what’s at stake when the hammer falls or a catalog goes to print.

This year, many of my hours were split between the screen and the barn. Calving while meeting deadlines reminded me, once again, of the tenacity it takes to do what you all do. I understand the hustle because I’m in it with you, and it only makes me more proud to capture the results of your hard work.

To every producer who gave me a seat at their table or a spot in their picture and video pen this year: Thank you. It is a privilege to help tell your story.

Swipe through for a look at the season we shared. 🖤

Champ Simmentals & Charolais Bring On The HEAT! 🔥

I had the pleasure of seeing Lot 2, CHAMP's Deiseler 279N late last summer as a calf on his momma out on pasture. He caught my eye then and he continues to catch my eye as he grows! This guy is a meat machine! Dark red, cool marked, good footed, fluid moving, polled, FULL FLECK! He oozes masculinity, herd sire presance and docility.

Be sure to check him out along with his pen mates that are consigned to "Transcon's Northern Connection" bull sale that's coming up quick on Tuesday, April 7th at 1:00pm.

As some of you know, this was a group of bulls that Winston was SOOO excited about. Unfortunately Winston passed away last July very unexpectedly and it shook the industry and all that knew him to their core. I know he's up up there smiling seeing how his Brother and Dad continued on the program and developed this set. Be sure to join the Ford family and Transcon in St. Paul to show your support of this phenomenal set of bulls that Winston had such high expectations for!
