I had the opportunity to second shoot a wedding yesterday for a wonderful photographer I’ve worked with before, and it also gave me the chance to experience a venue I’d never been to, “Rancho Burro.” What an incredible venue and such a beautiful wedding. 10/10. 🤍

A little note: I don’t second shoot for many photographers or videographers anymore, as I truly enjoy being the primary photographer/videographer on wedding days. That said, if someone is ever in need and values clear communication, organization, and taking the time to go over all the details beforehand, I’d be happy to help where I can. Communication is a huge part of a successful wedding day, and if that isn’t a priority, I’ll respectfully decline.

I’m finding my love for weddings again in between everything else, and it’s been so nice to reconnect with and continue growing in this part of my work. 🤍✨

I offer both wedding photography and videography, primarily video, but I only take on a limited number of weddings each year. I definitely need to get better at showcasing my wedding work, I spend so much time creating for my clients that advertising myself tends to fall to the bottom of the list. 😅

Caught this moment of Gracie Antoine loving on her horse just before an incredible breakaway run.

Way to be a great horsewoman, Gracie. 🤍 It’s moments like these that I love capturing most. The quiet ones that remind us the connection between horse and rider matters just as much as what happens in the arena.

Had such a fun shoot for ! She wanted more of a moody style and I did my best to match her inspo! ✨

I first found on Instagram a few years ago, and I’ve loved following both the incredible person she is and the amazing business she’s built. We’ve been swapping services for the past few years, and I honestly couldn’t love our trades more.

Introducing the AP Films Sportsmanship Award.🏆

As a photographer, videographer, and competitor, I get to witness so much more than what happens on the track or in the arena. I see the encouragement, respect, helping hands, and quiet moments that often go unnoticed. Those moments deserve to be recognized. This is my way of giving back.

That’s why I’m excited to introduce the AP Films Sportsmanship Award, an award that celebrates character, kindness, and the people who make our sports communities better. Something I stand by.

As a competitor myself, I know how much hard work goes into earning a buckle or trophy. I wanted to create an award that’s different, one that recognizes not the fastest rider or quickest run, but the person who makes our sport better through their character.

Nominations are open today July 9 – September 9 for two awards:

• Motocross Sportsmanship Award
• Barrel Racing / Rodeo Sportsmanship Award

Anyone can submit a nomination. I’ll read every submission and combine those with what I’ve personally witnessed throughout the season to choose the winners.

Each winner will receive:
• Barrel Racing / Rodeo: A custom buckle (photo shown)
• Motocross: A custom trophy (currently in the works)
• AP Films merch

I understand this season is already half way over however since I’m involved in both communities and have witnessed a lot of races so far, I wanted to start this ASAP!

If you’re a business interested in supporting these awards, I’d love to hear from you. With enough support, I’d also love to recognize runners-up or highly nominated individuals and make this an annual thing!! 🙌🏼✨

Competition is important, but character is what people remember.

July Schedule,

We’re currently in Ontario visiting family from July 1–9. 🇨🇦 trying to enjoy it but it was a last minute trip and I was not caught up 😅🫠. Apologies and thanks for the patience!!!

Please note: I won’t have reliable service to send out content until Monday, July 6. I’ll still reply when I can, but responses and deliveries may be delayed.

Upcoming Schedule:

• July 11 – Wedding (Booked)
• July 12 – Pritchard BCRA (Planning to film the slack & the full performance)
• July 14 – Vernon/Armstrong area – Photo & video sessions (limited spots left)
• July 15 – Sun Peaks (late afternoon/evening) – Photo & video sessions (limited availability)
• July 18–19 – Away with family in Vernon BC.
• July 21 – Planning to attend the Tuesday barrel race at TaZo Farms. I’ll be racing, but can take on photo/video requests by request only.
• July 24–26 – Prince George. Available for photo/video sessions anywhere between Kamloops and Prince George on the 24th (travel day) and 26th (return trip). July 25 is fully booked.
• July 29 – Falkland Stampede Grounds barrel race. I’ll be racing but will be filming what I can throughout the event.

Availability on the remaining days will depend on the week, so if you’re hoping to book a shoot, it’s best to reach out in advance. 🫶🏼
