"Seeing Double" Double IPA is the last new brew of the year for Red Collar Brewing & this time it's a collab with The Noble Pig Brewhouse. It's also the start of Red Collar's 12 Days of Christmas, so head on over to their page for the deals/details. And of course, thanks to the team for letting me make a "double vision" inspired label. Head on down to try it for yourself or pick up a couple of bottles today!

On the First Day of Christmas Red Collar (and the Noble Pig) gave to thee... A Beer!

Presenting this year's holiday new release and 1st Day of Christmas Beer - SEEING DOUBLE DOUBLE IPA. 👬

Seeing Double was a collaborative concoction, created by Nick S. (RCB) and Nick M. (of ). This Double IPA is not only heavy on the Nicks, but is also filled to the brim with the brewers' favourite hops, Cascade and Mosaic. Clocking in at 8.8% and 50 IBU, these guys were not messing around; Seeing Double is definitely here to bring some holiday cheer!

You can find Seeing Double on tap at RCB and The Pig today, plus we'll be pouring it at the Block Party today from 12-7pm! Packaged distribution coming next week!

Bombers are available to order now online and in house when we open at 1pm. To qualify for the 1st Day of Christmas stop by for a pint at RCB or grab a bomber!

Finally a shout out to our creative guy /.ca for yet another bangin' label design (don't stare at it for too long though), and all the great 📸.

It’s hard to ignore the creative pay-off of intimate live performance.

“At its best, it is a shared yet personal experience. The genuineness, spontaneity, and direct affiliation between artist and audience, when separated by mere meters, is a thing akin to magic.” - Cory, host of McArthur Castle in Kamloops, BC.

Had a lot of fun creating this one for Red Collar Brewing ~ I was able to have a taste yesterday & I have to say, it tastes as good as it looks! Available at the brewery now & from wherever you buy fine beverages soon!

BLACK BEAR ALE | 5.0% / 18 IBU

Sometimes, back in the days of beer festivals and events, we'd be standing behind our booth when an interested person would walk over and strike up a conversation.

They'd say "Red Collar eh? That's in Kamloops right?". We'd confirm their statement, and then they'd say "Do you remember Bear Brewing? Black Bear was my favourite beer of all time!".

When they learned that Red Collar was in fact owned by David Beardsell, the founder of Bear Brewing and the creator of Black Bear, the requests would come pouring in. Well, two decades and two breweries later, here's what we've got to show for ourselves.

Black Bear is a dark ale made with black currants and boysenberries. It is both roasty and fruity, making it enjoyable for any season. Please note that this was a first attempt at a recreation of a recipe that hasn't been made by David in 20 years, it may not be 100% the same as you remember!

We hope this beer is enjoyed by Black Bear veterans and newbies alike! You can find it on draught and in bottles at the Red Collar tasting room & online store. Distribution to Kamloops stores will happen by early next week, and province wide in coming weeks.

I don't know about you, but I still admire this incredible artwork by Russna Kaur every time I walk by the Kamloops Art Gallery.

Our deepest appreciation to Gary Pearson and Border Crossings Magazine for the review of the Gallery’s summer 2021 exhibition Holding a line in your hand. The review provides a wonderful opportunity to re-connect with the work of Rajni Perera, Lyse Lemieux, Colleen Heslin, Russna Kaur, and Azadeh Elmizadeh.

We are fortunate to be able to continue to share a work by Russna Kaur located on the west-facing exterior wall of the Gallery. We hope you are able to stop by to spend some time with it.

Details about Holding a line in your hand are available through the KAG website as well as a link to the Border Crossings article. https://bordercrossingsmag.com/article/holding-a-line-in-your-hand
