Brass Ring Imagery

Brass Ring Imagery Brass Ring Imagery. Formally known as m.Jayne Images. I’m Mel, a photographer, wife, mom, and dog lover who loves helping people see their power through my lens.

Through my lens, I capture life one story at a time, shining a light on the moments, memories, and magic that make each one unique. I capture life one story at a time, creating a relaxed, judgment-free environment where you can truly be yourself. Storytelling is at the heart of everything I do, bringing each person’s unique journey to life and capturing the people and moments that matter most, whe

ther with family, friends, or the people who make your world yours. I’ve spent years photographing live music, feeding off the energy of the moment, and I bring that same vibe to every session. Since moving from London, Ontario, to the peaceful north, I’ve found the perfect balance of quiet and creative freedom. Photography isn’t just what I do; it’s my purpose. Every session is a chance to capture real moments, celebrate experiences, and help people embrace themselves fully.

Memories are created as they grow from tiny little humans into people beginning to make their own paths in the world. We guide them along the way, helping them navigate each new chapter as it comes.

In the end, photographs hold onto the moments that time moves us beyond. They allow us to look back at the children they once were and keep them little in our hearts, no matter how grown they become.

It is 11 pm on a Friday night, and I’m sitting here knowing my evening will not be coming to an end for the foreseeable future.

This is the first message I’ll be sharing about going off grid as of August 24.

It is long overdue for my family and I to head out on an adventure with no idea what is in store for us, other than the open road.

The next couple of days will consist of finishing client galleries, photographing my remaining sessions as long as the weather holds off, and packing. If the weather has other plans, those sessions will be rescheduled for when I return.

The funny thing about packing this time is that I genuinely do not care to stress about it. We’re packing light. I’m leaving the technology behind. I’m not worrying about what we might forget or running through every possible “what if.”

Instead, I’m truly embracing going with the flow.

We’re packing the essentials and hitting the open road. There is no particular destination in mind other than somewhere new. Somewhere we have never been. Beyond the beauty we already know in our own area and toward whatever else is waiting for us.

Knowing my pups (2 of the 3 - one is joining us to relieve a little bit of the duties) and my home will be taken care of by family and friends, and knowing I can truly just fu***ng be, brings comfort and discomfort at the same time.

The reality of it all? Having no plan feels a little overwhelming. But that is exactly why this is necessary. I need to truly disconnect, let go, and just be.

I’ll share more Sunday evening about what going off grid will look like and how limited my access to the internet and communication will be. Beyond staying connected with my family and checking in when necessary, I’ll be stepping away.

All business will be taken care of over the next couple of days before I leave, and I’ll return on August 31.

Stay tuned. ❤️

ONLY 8 SPOTS REMAIN!

POV: You’ve been thinking about the sunflowers and know that we only have so much time left before the weather shifts, the petals start to fall, and the season begins to change.

You’re thinking about one last opportunity to capture the bright array of yellows and oranges surrounding you in the field...

Then you see that Brass Ring Imagery has an opportunity.

One that includes your very own mini bouquet to brighten your day and remind you of the session you just had for a little while after. Along with photos that capture you, you and your friends, your kids, your partner, whatever it might be.

Photos that allow you to look back when the weather changes and take you right back to that day. When the colours were bright, the sunflowers surrounded you, and the air hit your face. Reminding you of the laughter and love that filled that moment.

One last opportunity before the petals fall and the season changes. 🌻

Super exciting! Next Thursday (August 20th) is going to be a beautiful experience and we only have room for 1 more family to join us.

Family Nature Connection Experience.

Date & Time: August 20, 1:00–3:00 PM

What to Bring:

* Camera or phone

* Everyone will be asked to put their phone on Airplane Mode.

Purpose:

The purpose of putting phones on Airplane Mode is to disconnect from technology, get out of our phones, be fully present in the moment, and reconnect with nature. This experience is about slowing down, observing, and discovering what nature may be teaching us.

Activity:

We will head out into nature and search for sacred geometry found in the natural world. Participants will take photos of the patterns, shapes, and designs they discover in flowers, plants, trees, mushrooms, rocks, spider webs, pinecones, leaves, or anything else they notice.

Everyone will have a different perspective, and that’s the beauty of the experience.

After our exploration, we will gather around the fire. Each person will have the opportunity to share what they found, their perspective, and what they feel nature may have been trying to show or teach them.

Nature is always communicating with us. This experience is an invitation to slow down, observe, listen, be present and reconnect with the wisdom, and magic that surrounds us every day.

To register for the last spot remaining, contact myself, Ann Parker, or Jo Foster Caron

And before we know it, they are all grown up, starting the next chapters in their own storybooks. Cherish the time when you are together, because one day, these are the moments you’ll look back on.
