All the good feels with this session! One of my besties, since we were five, is about to embark on the next amazing journey in life and I couldn’t be more happy for her and her hubby! This baby will be welcomed into a world of endless laughter, the best hugs and nothing but love, love, love.

Last year this amazing couple had to say goodbye to their son Theo at 27 weeks before he was able to join us earthside. Though their hearts and all those around them were shattered into a million pieces, the light of that amazing little being has taught them and us to appreciate life, love more deeply and focus on the positive. Even though there is a lot of dark in this world, the light outshines it tenfold. We had to give Theo a special place in this session. He will always be remembered. His love already lives in his rainbow baby sibing!

Thank you Lindsay & Meik for having me capture this special moment in your lives and for allowing me to honour Theo. These special images would not have been possible without him. Can’t wait to meet the little peanut that is brewing inside mama! This aunty has all the cuddles for you! You both have shown so much strength in your journey and I know you will be the best parents this little one could ask for. Love you guys to pieces! XOXOXO

Just finished submitting my images for the 2019 contest "All in club"yahoo! so thought I should finally share last years results haha :)

Over 400,00 photos were entered into different categories anonymously and voted on by photographers and photography enthusiasts from around the world!

I definitely feel honoured to be recognized among so many talented artists! Thank you to all who clicked on my images. I feel a great sense of validation in my craft when my work is speaking to others.

4 photos made it to the Finalist, 3 Top 10%, 6 Top 20% & 9 Top 30% !!

I had an image make it to the Top 100 but unfortunately it disappeared once the results came out :( I am told it was probably due to a glitch in the system. But nevertheless going so far with many of my images is pretty darn cool!

Dance photo credit is also due to my partner in crime Amie Roussel as those images were captured with our dance photography company Famous Photos!

And many of these images wouldn't have been possible without my amazing clients, so a huge thank you for your support and trusting me to capture these special moments in your life!

Also a huge shout out to who was the Grand Prize Winner for 2018 and she is Canadian!!

Meet my Mom. Today is her birthday! Last year she celebrated her 60th and I wanted to capture her essence and all of her fabulousness. So one summer sunset at the lake we did just that. There are not enough words to describe the amazing woman that my mother is. She is my rock. My support. My inspiration. My superhero.

She is mother to 4 kids whom she has dedicated her life to raising. Countless hours of worry, comfort, support and pride. Who she now also extends to her two grandchildren, my babes, who call her Nan.

She met her loving husband, my Dad, 45 years ago on this very beach and after 43 years of marriage they continue to live life to the fullest and love each other more each day. Many of these wonderful days are spent at our happy place -the lake!

Apart from her family, Mom's passion has always been health and fitness. From getting her diploma in health and fitness from SFU, to teaching fitness classes, modelling and my personal favourite, teaching disco! She has always been a big part of the health and fitness world. I applaud you Mom and your dedication and commitment to leading a fit life. You are without a doubt 60 and fabulous inside and out!

And today we celebrate another trip around the sun for you filled with many more wonderful memories!

So my beautiful little sis got engaged ... and I got to capture their engagement session.... and they LOOK LIKE THIS!!!! Can you tell I am only mildly excited 😆 I have been taking pics of this beauty well, her whole life and it is such an honour to be able to capture this special milestone for her and her man. I can't wait to stand next to her on her wedding day and cue the tears 😭😭😭

I am excited to hand the reigns over to and who will be capturing this epic day!

Just for fun! The birth of a new babe is such an amazing and positive event. They bring so much joy and promise to our lives. A couple years ago, I started making a list of all of the babies born that I knew through friends, family and acquaintances. Every time I add another name to the list it brings me a smile, so here's some smiles for you! As 2018 has come to a close the results are in this past year 45 babes born, 17 boys and 28 girls - the year of the girls!! 💜💙

Please allow me to reintroduce Amie Roussel, aka my biz partner, aka master of her craft!

Amie is the owner of Carousel Studios. She is a very talented photographer based out of Vernon, BC. Amie's natural ability to capture people and their innate qualities is inspiring. On top of her successful growing photography business, Amie is a mama to two beautiful little boys. She also spends much of her time teaching dance and inspiring dancers to be their best selves.

If that didn't make her busy enough, Amie & I also share a photography business specializing in dance photography in the Okanagan called Famous Photos. This partnership naturally fell into place with our mutual passion for dance and photography. I have learned so much from Amie in this partnership and appreciate her endless hard work and dedication that she brings every day!

Amie is a hardworking mother, a giving member to her community, an inspirational artist, and a caring and loyal friend.

This family is the made up of sweetest, kindest and most hardworking people you will meet. They are the face of Tidy Tushees Diaper Service! For last the 4 years they have provided an amazing service to my family. They have made cloth diapering easy for us and in the process we are helping the planet. Win win! Please free to ask me any questions about my experience!

But enough about diapers ;) let's chat about this session. I was so honoured to be able to return my service to them and capture these special family memories. Being an avid baseball family we had some fun capturing the talent of the star of the family. Thanks guys for spending the afternoon with me in the sunshine and leaves. XO

O-O-phelia!

taking a mini break from dance photos to share some sessions from the warmer months this year. Sweet baby O joined us earthside and I have had the privilege of watching her grow from this little peanut. Her beautiful mama happens to be one of my closest and seeing her embrace her role as a mother is inspiring. Surrounded by so much love, O is in good hands/paws. :) So proud of you mama XO

Since my last share of this fabulous lady, she has gone from a hobby photographer to starting her own photography business, The Focus Tree Photography. She creates sharp images full of emotion and magic. Tara’s eye for finding the perfect light and capturing special moments is inspiring. She is continually challenging herself to improve and try something new within her craft and the results are paying off. Tara’s images have been published in print and online and her amazing work is standing out and getting recognized time and time again in various photography competitions and challenges. Her daughters being her favourite subjects also happen to be my nieces! :) I always cherish Tara’s new posts and love seeing the magical worlds that she has created for her daughters.

Registered dietician, food guru, social media star and one of my besties. Her passion for food and ways of implementing healthy eating into your unique lifestyle are inspiring. Every time I read her blog, one of her posts or watch her YouTube vids, I find myself whipping up one of her awesome recipe suggestions that night. So yummy!! And good for your body! I also highly recommend her 3-2-1 Method Meal Plan. It has been life changing especially for this busy mama! We do it on and off throughout the year and let's just say the on times are better then the off. Lindsay is sharing her knowledge and passion for food with the world. With over 11K followers on facebook and close to 10K followers on instagram, and not to mention her media exposure on tv and in food articles across the internet, it is no secret that this lovely lady is amazing at what she does. She also has a new YouTube channel with great tips and you can see her in action in the kitchen!

Linds and I have been friends since we were 5 years old and used to spend our kindergarten days trading stickers. I am not going to tell you how long ago that was but let's say a few years. 🤭 I am so proud of her and all of her accomplishments!
