There’s something special about destination weddings.

It’s never just one day. It’s welcome dinners, slow mornings, pool parties, getting to know families, and watching friends and family bond through the weekend.

Last October, we had the privilege of filming Leigh + Craig’s wedding in the heart of Tuscany. Between the incredible scenery, the laughter around long dinner tables, and one unforgettable celebration, it reminded me why I love documenting weddings wherever they take me.

Whether it’s in Italy, the Okanagan, or anywhere else in the world, my goal is always the same… to create a film that brings you right back to how it all felt.

Recently, I spent some time visiting with a past bride. She said for the last 9 years they watch their wedding film on their anniversary. She told me her husband almost didn’t want a wedding film. But after our first meeting, he was all in.

That story repeats itself so often. After filming hundreds of weddings, I’ve witnessed firsthand that a wedding film becomes more valuable with every passing year. What begins as a video eventually becomes part of a family’s history. Knowing these films become part of a family’s story is one of the most rewarding parts of what I get to do. And I’m speaking from experience as we cherish our own wedding film so much.

I’m heading into the next phase of my career. I can feel it. More selective. More intentional. The more I do this, the more I’m drawn to weddings where the relationships take centre stage. Those are the stories I’m most inspired to tell.

Here’s to the couples who trusted me with one of the most important days of their lives and to all the stories still waiting to be told. 🥂
