Resharing this because I keep coming back to it:

Gabrielle wore her mother’s wedding dress for her day and - somehow, despite the decades that have passed since this dress made its debut in the 90’s - it just seemed absolutely perfect for Gabrielle in a way that no new dress could have ever been. 😍

The vintage slip, dressing gown, purse, pearls, shoes, updo … it all just came together in a way that felt spontaneous and effortless … like she just reached into her mother’s closet and things just WORKED. 👌

This really was magical to photograph.

Proof that some things don’t go out of style … they just wait for the right moment to resurface again.

Snow falling. Silk gown. A very main-character kind of day. 🤍

The first wedding of the year was Maddy & Zayd’s elegant, Bridgerton-inspired day where winter showed up and made everything all the more romantic, right into the night. Soft details, real moments, and sneak peeks that feel just as beautiful as the day itself.

1. ADEQUATE SPACE - for all the bodies in your wedding party / family AND hair and makeup kits (which can be extensive and need tabletops)

2. NATURAL LIGHT OPTIONS (plural!) - otherwise you’ll find yourselves all squeezed in front of ONE window (Your pro artists will likely bring lighting just in case, but natural light is always best.)

3. ADEQUATE SEATING - often overlooked! and preferably at the best heights for your separate services: ie. low like a dinner / desk chair for hair, and higher like a bar stool for makeup. (Again, your pro will likely pack a chair just in case but will appreciate not having to lug the extra weight around - especially if stairs are involved!)

4. BONUS: AMPLE ELECTRICAL OUTLETS - without the need for multiple extension cords — and outlets that won’t trip a fuse when styling tools are turned on 🫠

SHOWSTOPPER TIP 🎯: Contrary to popular opinion, because of these considerations, a standard / basic hotel room tends NOT to be an ideal getting ready space. Consider investing in a larger / executive suite or TWO rooms as better alternatives when you absolutely have to get ready at a hotel. (Your photo and video team will thank you as well!) There, I said what I said.
