Who are Beach Minis for?

Short answer: honestly, everyone.

Families, couples, maternity, solo sessions, “I just want cute photos of myself at the beach” photos… this setup works for so many different people.

I also purposely scheduled these a little earlier in the season so we can take advantage of the quieter side of beach season before it gets too busy. Less crowded backgrounds, softer evenings, and a more relaxed feel overall.

My job as a photographer is to make you feel beautiful.
I take that job seriously. And I will make you feel beautiful and special (even if I have to first break you down and make you cry, it’s a process).

I’m just kidding. I won’t make you cry. But it is absolutely my goal that you leave my photoshoots feeling comfortable and maybe having had a laugh or two.

I can’t solve the world’s insecurities (or problems) but I can help bring some genuine joy. And that’s something I love about this.

I absolutely love generational photos. Grandparents and grandkids together makes my heart full.
I love extended family photos. Even if you don’t have an extended family photoshoot booked and grandparents are around, most of the time I’m still making sure they get in the shot. (Photos 3-5 are from a newborn shoot, grandparents were there but weren’t there to be in the photos. They were too cute not to get shots of)
I think my love of these photos stems from how much love my own son gets from his grandparents. It always makes me happy to see him with his grandparents. (Photos 6-8 is my son with my mother and her partner)
When I see these photos, I see the embodiment of a village. I see people who are so privileged to have so much love in their lives.

Some days feel extra special to photograph. This was one of them.

I had the honour of capturing their family portraits and reception, and from the very first moment it was clear how deeply loved these two are. The kind of love that shows up in close hugs, proud smiles, and the way family gathers around without needing to be asked. They even included their pup, which felt like the perfect reflection of who they are together.

They had already shared a commitment ceremony prior to this day, and this celebration felt like a beautiful continuation of that promise. A moment to be surrounded by the people who know them best and love them deeply.

Being invited into moments like these never stops feeling like a gift. If you are planning a celebration that centres connection, family, and meaning, I would love to help you tell that story.
