After a great deal thought over the course of a year, I made the decision to rebrand my photography business, which includes a name change.
For 6 wonderful years, I worked under the name of Birds on a Wire Photography, servicing the beautiful people of the Yukon. It was an incredible time for me, where I learned a great deal about the craft and business of photography.
This past summer, my family moved across the country to the East Coast (Annapolis Valley, NS), and with that big move, I felt that I was ready to begin a new chapter of my story as a photographer.
Change can be scary. Not knowing what lies ahead can be unnerving. But not allowing change can be even scarier, when you think of all the potential lost opportunities that are waiting ahead.
In the past year or so, I have been listening to what that little voice inside of my heart is saying, and it was telling me to embrace the change and move forward.
In moving forward, I have found that what truly makes me happy as a photographer, and that is to shoot lifestyle photography. Lifestyle photography is about telling a story and capturing real emotion. It is about going to someone's house and documenting how their family works, plays and lives. It is about chasing little ones, while they play and explore in the great outdoors. It is about moments, the good ones, quiet ones, loud ones, and silly ones. It is about being authentic and true.
I am very excited to continue on with my journey as a photographer, and I hope that you will join me.
