It’s been awhile since I have posted. Hobby photography is like that, for me anyway. Sometimes I’ll go through times when I’m shooting frequently, anything and everything I lay eyes on. There are also blocks of time that are void of inspiration or the desire to even pick up my camera. It is not because I have fallen out of love with my hobby, the love just ebbs and flows.
This past weekend, my fellow enthusiast and friend and I made a very intentional trip to a local Pioneer Village for the sole purpose of practicing. Daniel, with his new lens and me, well, photography always requires practice.
I snapped about 110 images and shot in manual the entire time. Not something I do often. It’s more challenging and time consuming.
I have reviewed my images multiple times since our adventure and really only like a few shots and only love one of them. So, I give you my favourites.
Let me know which one you like best and why. (Tap or click to see the entire image)

While perusing my collection of images I found a few of my favorites from a Fall road trip with my Bestie. Cannington is a super sweet, one horse town. A lovely spot for wee day trip.
Sooo...until I get my act together and get out for some more current clicks...enjoy!

My click count is definitely down these days. I’m haven’t been out and about with my camera as much as I’d like to be.
I took this image in the Spring at St. George’s Anglican Church st Sibbald Point and like it very much, so I thought I’d share.

In keeping with the “how it all began” theme...the very first pictures I took with my beloved Pocketstar were taken in Niagara Falls. I still have them. My 10 year old self painstakingly put them in an album, one of the old school type with the peel away clear plastic sheets...cardboard pages with sticky lines. I remember carefully writing cute little things below them...”If you haven’t seen the mist, you’ve missed the scene!” Good times...terrible pictures, but hey a girls gotta start somewhere.
I still love shooting in Niagara, heck I just love being there. Here are a few night shots taken a few years ago. I still struggle with night photography but these ones are fair.

My very first camera was a pocket camera, an Agfa Autostar. I was about 10 when my Dad gifted the little beauty to me. It was love at first click! What seemed like something small has led to a lifetime of joy, with a smattering of frustration on occasion. Photography became a hobby that has soothed the soul and kept me grounded on many occasion.
I have had several different cameras since this sweetie but as they say, you never forget your first love.

Welcome to “Peace of my Heart Photographs”
I am using this space to post some of my favourite images and blog from time to time. This is not a business or place to sell my images. This is a hobby and purely for my own joy and to share with family and friends.
Some images will be old, others more recent. Sometimes I will post frequently or there may be long spans of time in between, we’ll see which way the wind blows.
Enjoy!
