Throwback to one on the most amazing experiences I had in Costa Rica. While out doing night shooting I got to sit with this mother turtle while she built her nest and laid her eggs under the full moon before returning to the ocean. Being able to happen across this awe inspiring moment of nature that few get to experience this close. I was lucky enough to have to full moon light the scene enough to be able to capture a couple shots which I almost didn’t take as I was too enthralled in just taking in this I’ve in a lifetime opportunity.
What is something you were so captivated by when travelling that the experience of the moment was more valuable than any photograph you could capture?

The wind was so strong on the beach that I was barely able to stand let alone hold my tripod from and camera from blowing over. Got here just in time to catch the sun dipping in behind the iconic rock at pfeiffer beach. Only stayed for about 15 min as it was way too windy to fight against to take photos.

Working on the backlig of photos from trekking in Nepal. These people here made the trekking and downtime one of the best ever. Amazing people in an amzing country

While the Kootenay Park is still on fire and smoky be fought by the amazing fire crews. This was the park a month ago. Even after fire burns to renew this park it will still be one of the most beautiful drives in the province.

Sunsets in Pokhara. An excellent little place to to recover after trekking in the Himalayas. Cold beers, lake views on one side and Himalayas on the other.

A 2500km weekend round trip to Crater Lake. Skies cleared just long enough to get some sunset on the night I arrived. Having such an iconic place to pretty much yourself is worth every minute of the long drive.

Sunrise in the Himalyas never dissapoints. The vilage of Manang only got more beautiful and inspiring the more time I spent there waiting for my wrecked ankle to heal. Village life in the mountains was so peaceful provides you with a feelig of such zen.

As I woke up feeling defeated that something as simple as an ankle injury would end my trek to through to the pass of the Annapura Circuit. I was able to enjoy one last amazing sunrise in the village of Manang before having to take the longest bumpiest Jeep ride out of the Himalayas.
Even though I only got to Manang on this attempt the long days of hiking among the spectacular views of the Himalayas peeking through everywhere was worth every minute of it.
