Off to Kimberley Vision Care for a full team & headshot refresh. And, of course I couldn’t resist pulling a few extra frames for their website and social media while I was there.

In this work, I’ve seen headshots get updated well before they need to, and I’ve seen them go far too long. The range that makes sense professionally is somewhere between two and three years. Two is the right target. Three is the outer edge. Wait longer than that and the gap between the photograph and the person becomes something people feel. They are more likely to come in self-conscious, and what could be an easy and enjoyable update turns into something less. On the other end, too frequent is rarely a good use of resources… depending on the industry and marketing strategy; annual headshots simply aren’t necessary.

Great job to for perfect timing on headshots. 20/20 marketing plan indeed.

There are times working with clients when it becomes clear the people on the team have decided, on purpose, how they want to feel.

The team at Radiant U Aesthetics in Cranbrook is one of those teams. We spent a long time getting into the real why of their business before I shot a single frame. A team already that close, and still every one of them made me feel like a part of it. If how they do photo shoots is how they do spa treatments I promise you’re in for a treat. 🧖‍♀️

🥺 I was planning to wait to share this piece, but it speaks so perfectly to what feels like is happening right now.

This is my Tower card, and I’m revealing it for the first time. In my version, it shows the hand of God resetting something we thought was stable, something built and trusted, and then watching it fall apart completely.

For anyone living through a Tower moment, it is terrifying and feels outside of your control. But it is also often necessary. Sometimes what collapses was never meant to stand forever, or it was built on something we could not see clearly at the time.

With everything coming to light lately, including what is unfolding around the Epstein files, it feels like a hard reset is happening on a larger scale too. I have to say, I’m not surprised by a lot of the names coming up. But seeing Deepak Chopra on there rattled me.

And I think that reaction says something.

It has me reflecting on how easily we can create false idols in our lives. How quickly we can place people on pedestals, especially when they seem wise or comforting or spiritually “above” the rest of us.

I’ve been sitting with the reminder that discernment matters. That my intuition matters. That my connection to spirit is personal, and it isn’t something I want to hand over to someone else, no matter how much they appear to know.

To say I’m disappointed doesn’t even cover it. My heart breaks for the people who placed real hope in the wrong places. And while one decision doesn’t erase someone’s entire body of work, in moments like this, it comes frighteningly close.

Maybe this is part of the Tower. Not just for the people involved, but for all of us in how we see, trust, and rebuild.

I originally thought I’d share this card purely as part of the art project, but right now, it feels like it carries something much more.

Clarity is a concept I crave, especially around the new year. This year, for some reason, things are feeling a bit clearer in the most effortless way.

My yearning for clarity seems to have loosened its grip, while what's ahead seems easier even though it is unknown. Maybe it's a (to me) foreign sense of release that is so alive in my sphere... less pressure and more exploration.

This image grew out of that feeling. Swans photographed in London, the sky from Tulum, and the cotton ball clouds currently hanging in Ruby’s bedroom are all drawn together into one piece. Here are some of the close-up elements.

I’m looking forward to sharing this one in full when it’s complete, and of course the larger project that it's a part of.

For now, I wish you clear skies and smooth waters for the new year. Peel back the fog! May 2026 bring you all the clarity you desire.
